I believe bob uses a no overclock kernel from the same source so it's a possibility it's showing the same , if you load cpu-z from the play store it should show your cpu running up to 1700 that way you'll know you've got the kernel loaded
P's this kernel also runs the stock cx919 firmware with no problems giving improvement in video playback and speed , well worth a try
    I have
    Code:
    simon@simon-desktop#437, Sept 4 2013
and that did not change after flashing sam321's kernel.

"kernel1080_simon_no_oc.img - 1080P No Overclock with frame skip fix"
    and
    sam321's "
    1080p no overclock"
are the same, and they both have the blank internal flash bug.

Anyone have strauzo's kernel ? people have reported that that has the fix, however the thread has no valid download links.

Hello, my problem is that when i flash a official ROM, the mouse-keyboard usb not detected unless i connect it via the OTG cable, but it to the USB MOUSE port not found, I must have to do something special? an app to detect the air mouse?

On the other hand if I put a ROM cooked as finless 1.6b or 2.0, everything works fine (XBMC 13.1, 3.4 BEYOND XBMC, Splive, IPTV) but when I connect the hard drive no sees it, if it detects a usb 4 Gigas but no hard drive, anyone know how I can to fix this?? Must i do something special or install any app?

Can I flash via full USB port

Hi, my CX919 has a dodgy OTG port. Is it possible to flash a new ROM via the full USB Port?

Its not just yours, just low build quality. Both of mine have the same.

Another option is to try using clockwork mod recovery. I have not done this myself.

HI, I'm not familiar with Clockwork Mod. Does this not need a PC connection? Where can I learn how to use it?

It should allow you to choose a file from the sdcard, which you can load with a sdcard reader on your PC.
              Steps: http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...cks-is-coming/

I dont know if normal .img ROMS can be installed from this CWM recovery, or if you need a flashable .zip file with install script built in.

i think the same, CWM needs a zip to install roms, not img...
                best luck

any rom with kitkat for c919? to try, this bob rom y awesome a stable, but i wish kitkat! regards!

                  New ROM is 1.6b
                  1.6b fixes:
                  1) Latest recovery.img from CX. If you have a older stick you may not get a screen while recovery is formatting.
If you don't (my old stick doesnt) just wait at least 5 minutes. Recovery still works you just get no screen.
The newer sticks the screen works in recovery and it also solves some NAND issues.
For you older stick guys if you want recovery to have a screen, just copy recovery.img from my CX-919 1.5 ROM.

                  2) Fixes touch screen issues with real USB touch screens AND for APPs that need to emulate touches like Joy Center or Tinecore APP.
I replaced some lib files and added virtual_touchscreen.ko. The lib files were the key to fixing touch!

                  Link has been updated below

OK folks... I spent a good amount of time on this ROM doing what you all asked!
This is not a rip of the Neo X7 ROM. It is actually more the MK908 ROM 1.6 I did with parts of other tablet ROMs, TV sticks, etc!

I have not done any work on the CX-919 in a while and sorry to say it was needed
I really like this ROM myself and have now moved the CX-919 into my living room TV.

Folks if you like this ROM I could use a few donations. Sorry to ask but donations have been few and far between lately.

                  On with the show.

Features and release notes for my 1.5 Android 4.2.2 ROM:

                  1) Rooted and new SU and Superuser applied that supports Android 4.2.2

                  2) Stock ROM was only 2 Gig of APP space.
BUT you also have parameter file options!
                  There are also 1gb, 2gb, 4gb and 6gb options.
Read below for how to change that in the flash tool.
Realize if you use this 6gb option, internal SDcard will only have about 600 megs of free space!

                  3) Debloated of junk APPs and Google Apps you can get from Google Play.
I also updated Google Play and required Google APPs to the latest version.

                  4) As always, full init.d support! If you do not know what that is... ignore it. For geeks that want to use it. It is there!

                  5) I re-enabled location services. This is now in the settings menu.
Tested and working with all APPs that use it.
Remember to turn off GPS as we have no GPS.

                  6) I also re-enabled accessibility options in settings.

                  7) Gameloft fix. This fixes Gameloft games from crashing to the desktop.
Many of them do not run and crash to the desktop. This is due to a license check based on the device.
Special thanks to Christian Troy for inventing this fix. I modded it for this ROM.

                  8) Build.prop edit to open up the Google Play store to APPs that normally say "not compatible".
I am spoofing a Samsung device that will show almost any APP as compatible.
Your device will show up in google play as Samsung device nopt a CX-919 or RKSDK! Understand this please.
I also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.
If you want to go back, just use ES FIle Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop to build.old
                  Then rename build.orig to build.prop.
Go into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.
Reboot! You should be back to showing up as a 908.
WARNING if you do this, you need to be using the 1080 kernel or your screen will be oversized!

                  9) I added a reboot APP that will allow optional reboot options like reboot to bootloader (flash mode).

                  10) Kernel choices:
Special thanks to Freaktab user Sam321 (Simon) for his Frame Skipping fixed kernels!
I also give you the stock latest kernels but these still have the frame skipping issue!
They are supplied for people that want to use them anyway.
                  Kernels:
                  kernel720_stock.img
                  kernel1080_stock.img
kernel720_simon_no_oc.img - 720P No Overclock with frame skip fix - This is the default.
kernel1080_simon_no_oc.img - 1080P No Overclock with frame skip fix

Special note: PJ Andersons pacther does not seem to fix the frame skipping on the stock kernels.
I did not test overclock patching with his patchomatic tool so I do not know if that works.
If you want to try overclocked kernels, go here:

                  11) I fixed the double Camera icon showing up in the APP drawer.

                  12) Various wifi patches and updates for performance.

For more information ALWAYS read the README in the ROM kit!

                  Enjoy,
                  Bob

hi and thank-you for your good work .am new to this site but not to plc/flashing and i recently attempted to flash this ROM to my new cx919 device i first attemped the default settings ROM with 720p no oc etc and ended up with no screen output (tv message= unsupported signal) so i tried the same thing but with 1080p no oc and 1080p boot etc and got same result . so i figured part of the rom isnt compatable with tv (samsung full hd 1920 by 1080p le40aa656a 1fxxu) so i tried the stock 720p and 1080p with a good result the device booted and all worked apart from wi fi (after a power down and reboot .still no wi fi )but my main concern was the output the only reason i wanted to flash this was to stop the skipping issue so i was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and/or any fixes or maybe a new 720p kernel out there that solves the skipping issue and will work on my cx919

be gentle its my first time on here lol

                  thanks in advance

Will someone please fix the download site? I just got my 919 in and wanted to flash it and... nada. First the site was down, now it's responding but redirecting to this board and rejecting the links to the ROMs due to non existing files. What happened, guys?

                          CX-919 repeatedly connecting/disconnecting

                          Hi guys,

New to the Android mini PC world although I have some background in Android ROM cooking.

What I know is that every Android device needs to have a boot loader, a recovery and a kernel besides the system, data and cache partitions.

Now, this flash mode that everyone is talking about I assume is the recovery mode. I don't seem to be having problems getting there but for some reason the device connects/disconnects from the PC intermittently meaning that I follow the procedure to get to "flash mode" and the PC just starts playing the USB connect and USB disconnect sound one after another for about 10 times until the device decides to reboot into Android.

                          To make it simple:
                          USB device connect sound: DING
                          USB device disconnect sound: DONG

                          What happens:
DING -> Windows message "USB device not recognised...bla"->DONG
DING -> Windows message "USB device not recognised...bla"->DONG
DING -> Windows message "USB device not recognised...bla"->DONG
DING -> Windows message "USB device not recognised...bla"->DONG
                          ...x10

                          Then reboots to Android.

                          Any hints?
