Okay, I have got this up and whizzing now.

This is my set up, I have your justXBMC ROM with Flumpsters Beyond XBMC Beta 1.1 launcher (so it launches to Beyond XBMC on start up) and i have loaded the Finless 1.8 kernel with 1.8Ghz CPU, 600Mhz GPU and 800Mhz DDR3 MEM as per Killerdudes post on page 12 of this thread.
Love it!!

I noticed a tremendous performance improvement with the Finless 1.8 kernel. Mostly, i can see a substantial reduction or complete removal of the requirement to buffer, particularly on Irish TV video.

This is perfect for the family who just want to turn it on and be able to quickly and easily watch video or listen to music. I can also quickly get into apps, setting or the internet if i need to but i prefer to keep them out of there and on the basics so nothing gets messed up.

I'm keen for any future versions of this ROM or simliar its a winner. The launch to XBMC is terrific.

be sure to ask the maker of that xbmc ver to remove external sd write permisions.
xbmc as a launcher will overite your settings if it wont be like this. maby not the 1 time but lets say at ten or eleven.

My Minix in XBMC shows the error, works only with es file explorer
And have problems with Full HD 1080i.

mx player in xbmc work only with local content
it dont work with nfs and smb.
also my xbmc have support only for free ver of mx player from playstore.

yes it should work with usb hdd
the path is root filesystem/mnt/usb

ive tried for over 2 hours

ive tried everything and this is the only rom that will not boot after flashing... i have no clue what could be wrong... i flash finless 1.8 it works, i flash stock it works, i flash quickshot rom it works. is there something i can do to make this rom boot past the intial android robot screen when it says it is formatting data/cache etc?

Hi all I have not been using my X7 that much lately because I have been busy with RL so this post might be a little late but I hope late is better than never. What I have found out with the JustXBMC from out of the box. It has no XBMC updates that might explain some of my points but i haven't seen any or my points on the forum. So here goes.

justXBMC bugs and wishes
1: Android programs added to Favorits is run as a video and dont open App.

2: I have an app Called YouSee and that is almost the same as the XBMC Addon named almost the same the app is just better. But run from XBMC it says no Internet connection. But it didn't when run from finless 1.6 OC 1800CPU, 800GPU and 720 RAM.

3: The Performance tap in Settings seems useless since you can only under clock.

4: The TV Optimized tap don't work. It link to a URL you don't have on APKfreak.

5: With your Resolution switch would be nice to show what you are in and switching to.

6: could use a Skin with low System resources usage and high custom ability so you can remove and add topic menus like Movies, TV Shows, Music, Favorits and so on.

7: would be nice to get Shift to work inside XBMC on my Logitek K400 or Minix A1+

8: If Favorits never get to run Apps make a menu topic for Favorit Apps in main Manu where music, movies and so on are located.

9: I wish streaming Apps were running Perfect. (I know that is up to App developers to make that, but it seems they don't care about RK3188 devices

10: I have a few old Movies in WMA files and they run as a slides how, would be nice to get them to run better, but it's an old and almost not used anymore file type.

11: Subtitles dont work. It seems i cant write the sub files in the location of the video file as it should do. I use XBMC SMB mounts and the user as the right rights to write in the folder.

Pros:
Now I can see more Series and Movies i couldn't befor
It has SuperRepo as standard.

Cons:
Can't use subs and that is a must since I'm not speaking English as a native Englishman.

I had the same problem, but for me it's not only this ROM but all the roms. I did a workaround to save the subtitle in a folder on the NEo x7 itself

or did you had succes with other ROMS?

I haven't found a solution yet. What folder is writable in JustXBMC?
Have you tried Beyond XBMC launcher i haven't it might work, I'm just got use to JustXBMC and hoped Levy would keep up developing on this concept but I guess he has found a newer and more fun project to spend time on.

I've tested a few different roms but not any Kit Kats yet and this one still gives me the best Antutu score, I'm getting about 20,800 on it. On the Hybrid rom i can only get about 19,000.

Minix_X7_justXBMC_by_lewy20041_v1.2.2 is the version i have, still using the Finless 1.8 kernel with 1.8Ghz CPU, 600Mhz GPU and 800Mhz and Flumpsters latest Beyond XBMC launcher.

but i have a question. how do you guys combine this room with the overclock kernels?
been readig through this thread and finless but dosent seem to find my answer.
