Is there a possibility to replace justXBMC apk with latest beta from official xbmc site, in your firmware 1.2.2?
I have problem playing sd video files. I like very much the ideea of xbmc as a launcher. But if i install the above mentioned beta it will install as a separate apk, so i have 2 xbmc on my minix.
I want, if is posible (or alowed ) to replace justxbmc apk with beta from xbmc.org so when i power on the minix it will start the xbmc from official and not the justxbmc.

Yes. I asked flumpster for permition to use it so you will get customized ver of beyond with justXBMC firmware.
I added some personal futures.

I am hoping for the same, a justxbmc apk. This is the best xbmc version I have tried. I love the long mouse clicks to bring up a context menu. I am hoping you can create this apk based on the latest XBMC 13 beta 2. The XBMC 13 beta has some fixes that I really use, ex. the pvr addon DVBLinkpvr client. With this addon, I can have full tv guide on live tv.

Hi Lewy, I have managed to instal flumpster's BeyondXBMC 3.3 beta launcher, near justXBMC, and set it the default launcher in your v1.2.2 rom, it is ok until now. But it is based on XBMC12 not XBMC13. I haven't tried, in BeyondXBMC, the old divx and Co. files with packed bitsream, wich seems to be the main problem in playing SD files, at least in my Minix box.

Also there is a problem in both of versions justXBMC and BeyondXBMC when you are in main menu of confluence skin playing in background a video, the image gets scrambled. But I think is related to Confluence. Also, related to skins, the smoothness of video decoding depends on skins and animation, "bling-bling" features the skin might have. As a rule of thumb, the simpler skin, the smoother decoding.

The passthrough is working. I'm happy... happy

We are with one step closer to the final version of best android TV Box, thanks to you Lewy and Flumpster.

There is a rumor in the village, Minix will launch the newest quad core android tv box model is NEO X8 based on Amlogic S802-H Things are moving fast in this area, and x7 is getting old.

For the moment I'm happy with my Neo x7 and justxbmc fw 1.2.2 and flumpster beyondxbmc as launcher , DTS passthrough is working, and I have smooth playback on 1080 .

Yeah, I think justxbmc has had his best time, especially with the flumpster's beyond XBMC.
about the rumor, I have heard something else.

i heard minix will come with a new box called neo x9. The box will be packed with the new quad core.
the chip comes from rockchip, RK3288 with 4 A17 cores.
3 or 4 GB of RAM, and also 16GB of storage.
This box will be also released with android 4.4.2.

Just installed this Rom, really like it however I'm getting the same problem I get with the finless Rom in that every a black screen flash ever 20 seconds or so.


Can anything be done about this? It's getting really frustrating.

hi, i had that problem when i was fixing a friends minix. justxbmc didnt work so i tried harware guru and no flashing. then i just installed the justxbmc apk ver 4 and all good. hope it works for you

just installed it Minix Neo X7

just installed it in my Minix Neo X7 and every 25 to 30 secs is fikering on Display ...smn help here pls !!! Same happens with Finles Rom 1.8 also

You could try changing the refresh rate in android. Might work, try 50hz instead of 60hz

Nothing happened

I had the latest kasty rom in 60hz and there was no flickering the screen i tried justxbmc rom in any hz refresh rate and still flickering the screen... Other sugestion?
