There is a bug when you setup xbmc as a launcher and press home on remote while in xbmc main manu. It will look as its freze. Just press and hold power button and than press back . It will be functional again.

Hi Lewy, I am using the Justxbmc apk under the hardwareguru rom because your version of xmbc runs best of all.

I only notice that some films and series on my HD drive force close the xbmc every time I run them. This does not happen on the other xbmc version, but those versions give me frame drops.
Most movies run fine. Any idea of what would be causing this?

All videos are 1080p with DTS.
I use justxbmc version 4.

Hi Lewy, any thoughts on these justxbmc crashes?

Is there a newer version than v4 of the apk?

Hi Lewy,
First of all thanks for the great rom. I spent a few hours yesterday checking it out. I have been out of minix for a while for various reasons. Before I got back, I was waiting for your rom release. So, I can't comment on some other releases in the last two months.
In my limited experience, this is the first rom that could play a high bit rate MKV file with DTS MA5.1 or 7.1 file. All the versions that I tried before this would either choke or crash out of XBMC, sometimes instantly. After a while I gave up. For the first time there wasn't a file that I could not play. All files played with DTS or DD bitstreaming as well. DTS HDMA automatically played the core DTS. Overall I had a very positive experience. Obviously, I didn't play any file to completion because I was testing more and more files. It never gave up so far. The only file I didn't check was an .x265 MKV. It was too late and hopefully, I will check it today, just for fun.
I did find the bug that you mentioned in the post above the one I quoted. After that, I haven't come across any. I haven't put it to any other challenging tasks either. My main interest is as a media player and right now it excels as one.

Hey Lewy, not sure if this has been reported or if its just me...when i add links to live streams from mashup to the xbmc favs (under the star in home screen) i can play them from there, but when i try to stop them weather using the go back or stop button the stream will re-launch playback as if i pressed on it again. basically i have to press stop and quickly press the go back button a few times to return all the way to the home screen before it replays the last stream.
not a big issue for me, just thought you might want to know

P.S.: i posted some questions on this thread and never got an answer, pls help...most important one: what stock is your new version based on?...thank you

Hej Lewy,

I love this ROM. It is very fast to boot. Apps start very fast.
Your modded Version of XBMC seems fester when i scrolling.

Before this i used your Hfw 3.2 with Beyond since Dezember. And I have tested every other Rom. But always go back to HFW. Now i will stay with justxbmc. For me it is the best.

One thing is not so good :

Some movies (the last one was Gravity and Rush mkv, I copied it From my Blu-ray with makemkv, Ac3 5.1 passthrough spidf) when i dont want to play it from the beginn it lags and get After few seconds async. I've tested 25Hz, 30Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz. It is the same. When i play the movie from the beginn it plays smooth.

But i love this ROM
