Did you follow all of the steps in the First Time User's Guide for installing the drivers? You must follow the steps closely, or you risk making it impossible to install the drivers correctly.

What version of Windows are you running?

I have just received the PIPO max 9 pro(wifi only) and i thought before downloading RR2.1, I should get the RK driver installed in my device.

So, I downloaded the RK installer as provided in the link by Picaye. Then I wrote what i experienced as below.

Are you suggesting to me that I should directly download your RR2.1 on to my tab and follow the instruction because i thought the sequence as
        1. download RK driver installer on my PC. unzip it and store it on my PC.
        2. connect the TAB and "turn off USB storage".
        4. go to my computer and install the driver in my device.
Here I am unable to proceed further.
        5. Then I thought (once driver is installed) I should download your RR2.1 on my device and read the instruction carefully before doing anything.

AM I DOING ANYTHING WRONG? PL TELL ME THE PROCEDURE SO THAT I CAN FOLLOW THAT STEP BY STEP.

        Thanks for everyone's help here.

Just download the ROM kit from post #1.

The RileyROM kit contains everything you need...flash tool, drivers, etc....

Open the PDF file called First Time User's Guide in the zip file and follow those instructions closely.

After you successfully get the drivers installed you'll be good to go.

The drivers should not to be installed to the device but into your PC.
Is the Rileyrom suitable four your device? You have a MAX but we are on the M9 PRO topic.
Flashing a wrong rom can hardbrick your device.

              Thanks.

              Just one more silly question.

Download RR2.1 directly on to my TAB, right?

You need to download the ROM to your PC. The flash tool has to be run from Windows. The drivers are Windows drivers which will allow your PC to talk to your tablet via USB.

Use the USB cable that came with the tablet, others may not work properly because the micro USB connector is a little longer.

You must use a USB 2.0 port from your PC. No hub's...it has to plug directly into the PC.

It's all explained in detail in the First Time User's Guide which you can translate if you need to from Google Translate.

I think you should stay away from install custom roms ,it's clear you have not the knowledge to do so.
You have to download the rom to your PC and then flash your device with the flash tool.
I would recommend spitting true this thread before you do anything.
Are you sure the Riley rom is suitable for your M9 MAX ? Once again ,flashing a wrong rom WILL brick your device.

Download RR2.1 to a PC. Mention if you are using Win8. The tablet is able to present 3 different "USB devices" and each needs a different driver. One is a standard Msft mass storage device and you can just use what Windows would pick for it. Once you use the Rom flash tool in the RR2.1 zip on the PC and use the reboot flash mode button, the tablet will present a different USB device that needs a different driver. The driver in RR2.1 should work for that.

In Device Manager, when you see Unknown Device, right click and select Properties, then the Details tab to see what is displayed for the value of Hardware IDs. The values there would tell us if windows is looking for the driver for bootloader (found in RR2.1), the Mass storage device, or the ADB device that is present in a normal tablet boot when you have turned on USB debugging. Post which ID the Unknown device is. For example,
                    USB\VID_2207&PID_0010&REV_0222&MI_01
is the ADB device that matches USB Debugging and isn't what you need to flash.

                      Thanks a lot!

                      Tks for the support!

Will go through the first time installation guide thoroughly also.

                      Started downloading RR2.1.

Raghu has the max on the wrong side of PiPo and is probably best left off to avoid confusion. "M9Pro WiFi" or "M9Pro 3G" would help a lot in posts to be clear what is being talked about.

Reading what I wrote, I guess Raghu only left off the letter M in front of the 9. It is probably what causes people with a Max to flash the Pro version???
