Thanks ... I figured it out as soon as the '*.bat' popped in front of my eyes (reminded me of the good old DOS OS ...

Now for your answer the gps.conf files should go into the system/etc folder just copy it over into system/etc folder, set to rw-r-r(permission) and ownership to to root.root,
For your information most Chinese device phone/pads do not have the gps.conf file in them since they are shipped all over the world and they conveniently left it out. Unlike SAMSUNG which knows where it ships its batches to therefore they have a similar conf file in them. If you look at the attached files SuplRoot.cert is from Googles and the other gps.cer is from SAMSUNG.
Happy trying it out you'll be amaze anything please PM me or " [email protected] ". But the performance is limited by the hardware that we get from PiPo especially the aluminium backing is causing a lot of interference ("attenuation" I quote a gps engineer). But this will improve the performance of a fix to below 20 seconds everytime (but on the first run it might take a few minutes but less than 5 min.
If you find other gps.conf files mod with A-GPS settings in them please avoid them for now since will degrade the wifi signals (I dunno why but i did try and my wifi refuse to connect to internet) and the gps takes forever to get a fix.
GPS ok now here ,i'm on Kasty Rom :build 20131010 ,just installed NTPSync and set time.
Gps test running for a while and 12 sats in view and 8 in use, this is indoors under a Velux roof window.
I'm curious what happened when i try it after hours when not in use.
Now getting fix whitin 10 secs on: Copilot ,Tomtom, Sygic and Navigon.

Can you tell me how i can post a screenshot taken with the PiPo ?

Take the shot then go into the internal sdcard find for Screenshot folder of or if you have configured it to save into the DCIM folder find it inside there.
Or the best and easiest is to run gallery and it will seek for the shot just taken and you can post or attached to your e-mails. testing it for a prolong period of time will only drain battery but not much once you get out of any Maps apps it will switch off by itself (within android)
Why are you on KASTY's 10-10 version the 30-10 #353 version has the wifi issues sorted out(Skype sorted out), I used to dread switching off my device and when on the next boot up (the wifi is on) but the wifi did not connect to internet(grey icon). Now it is everytime it will show me a blue icon (internet is on).

First thanks to all for the great work
I want to flash first time my Pipo M9pro ,but I cant find the Parameter for 4GB.
Is the parameter included in the RileyRom 2.0?
          I found only 3 files (parameter,parameter8,parameter12)

When you reply or start a new thread go to the bottom of the screen to see the "manage attachment" and attached your *.jpg image from PC to your mail (it is self explanatory)

You can use CWM with this ROM. You just need to re-flash the recovery.
CWM is explained in the "First Time User Guide.pdf" included with the ROM download.

"Q: CWM (ClockWorkMod) and stock Recovery - whats what, and what is it for?
A: Stock (original) recovery has very few options and functions. CWM (CockWorkMod) Recovery is a 3rd party custom recovery mode, with highly extended possibilities and functions. If it is available for your device, it will be included and flashed at default. There will be an additional file named StockRecovery.img in the ROM folder - this is the Stock (original) recovery. If you don't want to use CWM, or are having problems with CWM Recovery, you can rename the recovery.img to CWMrecovery.img and rename stockrecovery.img to recovery.img - then restart the RKAndroidTool. On the first boot after flashing, recovery mounts and formats all of the drives necessary for the device to run properly. Some CWM Recovery installations don't do this properly, so stock recovery is recommended if you experience any problems with boot."

Hi, I am Raghu from Bangalore India.

I just received pipo 9 pro without Sim slot. I am no good in rooting etc and haven't done anything like this till now. My pipo tab is recognizing my 16 gb micro sd card. But thru host and usb slots, I am unable to connect my other things like 500 GB hard disc etc.

Some one suggested to upgrade my firmware!!

I need to know where do i find which firmware is currently on my tab and what should i do to get the both host and usb slot to start working. I have received OTG cable and mini/micro to usb wire also.

Pl help me with detailed procedure so that I can follow this!

I have a dell laptop and desktop computer at home.

                            Thanks to all in advance.

After some extensive tests with v1.9, this time, I took out as much bloatware as possible...only leaving in what was absolutely necessary.

                            This ROM is:

                            Rooted

As of now, there are no extra kernels for this ROM, like the others I've released in the last day or so.

                              Hi Raghu.
I cannot answer the technical side of your questions. However, I can tell you that you MUST use the cables that came with your tablet.
Pipo tablets require cables where the metal part of the plug is about 2mm longer than normal plugs on similar cables. If you use any other cable, the plug will not make proper contact with the circuit board inside the tablet and your hards drive and/or your computer will not talk to your tablet.

A poster in this Pipo thread modified a standard cable by cutting away about 2mm of plastic from around the plug that goes into the tablet.

                              Hope this helps.

                                Yeeenaa day Raghu,

All these ROMS (customs) are already rooted , so dont be smart to ROOT again an already rooted ROM.
Thats the point of using these customs ROm (read the fine print, it said it is already rooted) so all you have to do is to reflash your device with this ROM
