Thanks for the great work. I have hardly started modding my Minix and the first time I found myself fine was when I flashed it with the previous version of your Rom and installed justxmbc on it a day ag and I am definitely going to flash this new one. A newbie question. How do I backup my apps and settings, with Titanium backup? I am more familiar with other Android devices (smartphones, tablets) than with these boxes.

Failed to boot with OC kernel 1800CPu 798GPU 720DDR.
It is OK with OC Kernel 1800CPU 600GPU 720DDR.

Someone can boot with OC GPU798 ?

        GREAT rom BTW!

            Hi, Bob.

First - a big 10x for your work! Hadn't have installed it yet, going to soon, but after reading the changelog it seems to me like almost - perfect. The only thing that I'm using on daily basis and it's missing for me is the dts pass-through patch of libmedia.so for XBMC. Can you please preload it in your rom and make it completely perfect then?

            Thanks again.

              +1.

I have tested this patched version of libmedia on 1.7 and it works perfectly.

                  Bob Thanx for new Fw

                  Hello Bob

                  I found an issue

I was readding a lot true the forums and i saw a lot of problems about video playback and offcourse other things witch i myself had not much problems with
I try the finless 1.6 and the minix 6c
I have only two video"s that had problems the first hobbit serie 16 gigs Mpeg and a 20 gigs pirates of the carabian MKV i tried every player after a while installing new updates of the players playback was getting better al the time until 2 weeks ago the movies played smooth yes unbelieveble
I used the latest Bsplayer - Archos - and an new commer for me Diceplayer
I even played the movies via wifi with diceplayer and it was perfect i did not believe it myself
So my believe was that we just had to wait for developers to adjust there software for this new generation tv players

So i was exited with te new release from Minix but the disapointmend came soon
offcourse the movies i mentioned where the first one's i tried and gues what it was horrible the hobbit mpeg movie was terrible out of sync sound was maybe 10 seconds or so first
So i thougt ok maybe a new instalation would fix it but no
I installed finless 1.6 and everything was ok again

Then i read your new findings and wow i thought so i tried it right away but the results where the same

So what is the problem here ? i don't know so i thought i should share this to you

I play everything via network and i'm on network for 15 years now so that is not the problem
I have a synology server and recently a new asus router the RT-AC66U witch has verry good network performance

So that's my storry i hope you can read it cause my english getting worse through the years ha ha

                  Greetings Marcel

i run this rom 1.7 with this kernel
                    kernel_cpu1800h_gpu798h_ddr800.img

                    no problems at all

edit: finless the static ip crashes the box ,it reboots then it is stuck ..but if i then remove the internet cable the box boots up ..do i put the internet cable back in then it reboots and stuck at bootanimation

so i can not use static ip

wanted to ask, what it means 7 scaling in oc kernel. Is it that CPU will govern his own speed on the fly, even when playing high bit rate movies, so if not necessary it will not oc'd?
I haven't checked but I think the 7 scaling methods means there are 7 levels which the CPU can jump between. I noticed the min frequency was around 800.

Which is why I am request a 720p o/c kernel.

Strange business going on with my setup. Prior to flashing this rom, using latest stock (007) when I would attempt to switch to 1080 output the display would be full of fleeting multi-colored artefacts flitting by over the display of the desktop. The system would display but it was clearly unhappy about doing so - at 1080.

720p on stock was fine. I flashed this ROM, tried the 1080 stock options, no good. Now the display would flash me the boot logo, and then once booted it would give me occasional sub 1 second glimpses of the desktop every cpl of minutes.

I reflashed with the 720p options from this ROM, same situation as with the 1080p from this ROM, effectively no display.

I went back and reflashed to stock - now bizarrely, same problem with the display.

I'm going to turn everything off and see what happens in the morning. Odd, eh?

                            G
I have the same problem since the update to FW 007 at full HD - 1080p. 720p is ok.

                              Hulu+

                              Hi

Would somebody please test if Hulu+ is working on this firmware. It worked just fine with Minix on stock pre-006C and then stopped working when I flashed stock 007. Now it freezes the X7 as soon as you try playing a video.

                              Thanks
