Wel i'm back to 1.6 video does not work for me even a simple divx 2 gigs is not smooth 1.6 is perfect for me at the moment

Please flash the kernel from my 1.6 ROM and see if you still get it.

I flashed the 720 boot and the 720 stick kernel from 1.6.

I was able to bring up the display, by turning off and on the TV. Still showed the "glitter" efects. The display was set to 1080p-60, strangely. Not 720p. I was able to drop the glitter by turning it down to 1080p-24, or 720p-60.

I'm reflashing 1.7 with 1080p boot and stock kernel 1080p. Then trying the "cycle display" to see if I can get in and drop down from 1080p-60 to 30.

OK, just checked, strangely I was watching Ps4 game videos and I think the dropped frames were from the Ps4, not the video. I think playback is fine but I'll keep an eye on it.

Not too sure why ny Minix wont boot.

I tried a ton of 1080 kernels. I guess the factory boot but sits idle for 15 mins.

Done everything listed to a tee. Do I need to disable
Any 1.6 settings in windows ?

Win 8.1 driver problem

I have problem with installing win8.1 drivers.
Did someone have any idea how to manage this problem.

ROM_Flash_Tool_137 doesn't recognize the device.

I'm reflashing 1.7 with 1080p boot and stock kernel 1080p. Then trying the "cycle display" to see if I can get in and drop down from 1080p-60 to 30.

Sadly, bringing back to 1.7 1080p-stock-kernel didn't work. I got a brief flash of the display while booting (saw the cursive red finless logo bit, very glittery though) but couldn't bring the display back on the TV, even when cycling.

So I guess I can confirm that it's frequency related, but can't account for why the 1080p-60 between v1.6 and v1.7 kernels let's me see enough display to drop down the frequency. Useful?

I will see if I can get the new kernel sources from Minix and maybe one of the kernel guys here can figure out what the heck is going on. Looking at the freq tables in the kernel they look the same as the 006 kernel so I am not sure that is the problem.

Got it on stock rom as well.
Only 1080 60hz works without flicker. But with the glitter and something that looks hdmi adjusting .

Audio & sound synchro on HD movie with finless 1.7?

with minix firmware v 007, I have problems wehnelt i play HD movie from dlna server:
HD video 1080 with hd audio codec ac3 are not synchro...
Rom finless 1.7 has this problem?

Display Sync issue continued

Additional data point - I did a reboot to recovery (wanted to get accustomed to taking back ups and so on) and there also the display will not sync - brief flash of the recovery screen, full of glitter, then "no video signal" banner, the standard "can't sync" message from this Toshiba 40" TV

Forcing a reboot with a paperclip brings me back to the 720p specified v1.7 with the 1.6 kernel, happy as a clam.

What do I miss by not having the 1.7 kernel?

I remember having the same issue also on the 1.6 rom but much less then now, so I'm not sure what exactly has been changed since then.
I'll see if I can test some different kernels tomorrow to see if they make a difference.

Understood, going to try and flash over the recovery from 1.6, only. see what that does for getting me into recovery mode to backup stuff.
