Have you messed with HDMI cabling? Shorten up the chain maybe as a test? Try other cables? I have to say the China cables can be really bad. I have 4 of them that came with other sticks and they are all bad! Artifacting all over the screen, random blinking pixels, etc.
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

Thank you very much! Went from 1.6 to 1.7 now. Very good performance and stability. No crashing and force closing of apps since flash. Wifi is fast and video is smooth. The X7 with this ROM is really great. Minix has also done a great job with the 007 release.
I use this kernel, "kernel720_cpu1704h_gpustock600_ddr720" and made 20046 in antutu.

Would be nice with a kernel with the video stuttering fix and 500 minimum freq. or something. Then just add CPU profiles to lets say Mxplayer etc.

Before flashing 1.7, I erased NAND a couple of times checking each time that the counter went up to at least 4090. On the first reboot after recovery I let the device settle down for about 5 minutes before starting to play with the settings.
I'm using the "kernel1080_cpu1800h_gpustock600_ddr720" kernel . In the build.prop file the overlay setting is at "0" and lcd_density at "240".
Bob and MINIX have done a great job with this ROM.

You also need to install Busybox from the PlayStore.
PS. If you want to get rid of the Nav Bar completely, use Full Screen from the PlayStore. It puts 2 small customizable buttons in each corner of the screen for back and home / long press for recents. I use this all the time now.

Now something else, i dont know if this is glittering though.
back in 006a and b, i had this weird green nuances, like rebel pixels :P, just flashing like stars there, theyre random but i think deep black colours seem to cause it since they never show up on bright areas. now it's back, i havent felt it in stock, but this roms shows them time to time.
