I think it will work. I am almost sure that both releases are identical.
You can try it and confirm!

While it appears the firmware may be identical...there may be just a setting or two that was intended to fix something. Sometimes its a bloatware app that I remove anyway.

The kernels should work across firmware releases.

Flashed the ROM and really runs well, then flashed the patched kernel from 1.4.2 Claro_test1 since my unlucky CPU and it starts even if my first impression seems to be less responsive than stock kernel. Can it be?!

Let me use some more time the tablet

Some freezes after few minutes of use, never happened before with previous.
Reverted back to stock kernel now

I believe it's possible to use a wireless Xbox 360 on the this ROM?


If so, what do i need to make it work?




I've plugged in the dongle but the pad won't connect..

There is a driver available for the Xbox controller...it will be a while, but I can provide you a link to it....I'm at work.

Been running this rom for a couple of hours now. Here is my feedback.

M9 Pro 3g version.
Flashed with the 3G version of the boot.img file
1. Mobile - Mobile power no longer enables itself with each boot. Fixed. Yeah!!!

2. Wakelock - The problem is still there. In my case the tab is awake about 50% of the time. The offending process is still rtc_hym8563

3. VPN - I use a client called Private Internet Access. None of the roms I have tested to date have worked. With all the other rom's when the client would get to the Authentication part it would simply disconnect. The first time I run PIA it gets to the authentication point and then the tab instantly hard reboots. If I try to connect again, after the reboot, it does does nothing at all. Does not even attempt to initiate the logon process. If I uninstall and reinstall the app, the above sequence repeats itself.

4. Quick Boot - This new option does not appear to be working at all. The boot time with it Enabled or Disabled is the same. 1:13
Here is a video showing the drastic boot time different when Quick Boot is enabled and working. Pretty impressive.

PS: Quick boot is almost useless: the tablet is not switched off, it is set in a sort of deep sleep.

First post. M6 pro 32gb 3g w/ 1.5 installed. After long standby it doesn't weak up. Usually it start on short ones, but when left overnight I have to press the reset in the back to get going again. Newbie error somewhere? Or bad tablet? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Standby to me is quick press on power button or left on for long time and screen times out.

Giouncino kernel with 1.5

Excuse me for my question, but I just receive my Pipo and I want to install Riley 1.5 tonight. What I'd like to know is if Giouncino kernel is already included or if I have to install it separately, and if Turbofly and Uc browser have been left or debloated. And, first of all... THANKS for the wonderful Riley work!

I debloated both of those apps.

I don't include the custom kernels.

I would first flash my complete ROM as a base line and see if everything is working. Then flash the custom kernel later using the flash tool, by not checking everything except kernel and not erasing IDB.
