    normal vs HD screen

    Dears,

Different people use tablet for different purposes. Mine is some series and movies to watch on this tablet. However last stock and custom ROMs based on it has only HD screen with some features limited- f.ex. I had no possibility to adjust brightness to satisfying level.
After reflash to older fw these features appeared again. It was possible to watch same movie in more satisfying way. I have adjusted brightness to higher level comfortable to me.
Will we have more options in coming ROMs? KitKat for example.

Your external SD card has to be formatted by Windows. Micro SD cards come formatted as FAT32 by default. Sometimes Android doesn't play well with FAT32. You have the option to format it to NTFS on the format window. NTFS is more stable and less likely to have corruption errors.

I have encountered lockups of Android while running an external SD card formatted to FAT32. The ultimate fix was to either remove the external SD card...or change the format to NTFS.

While this may not fix your situation...it doesn't hurt to try it. I have run this 1.5 ROM extensively, and I have not had to push reset.
      yes, I really confused.
First of all, I'm not use external SD card on my device, are you saying I need to back it up by my self? by using external flash drive(or card)?
I'm not seem the connection between my issue and external SD card, my situation is my whole device will be format by flash this ROM.
      sorry for my english.

Freaking (I hope there are not penalties for saying that word) MSD card was the issue!

Randy, you are awesome. As an engineer we we are trained to troubleshoot by looking a the obvious and at simple things first, but this take things to a whole new dimension. Removed the card last night, let it seat until this morning and it woke up without a problem. Just formatted the card to NTFS (Fat32 before), ran TB and restored all my apps and lets see what next. I will add the multi user line to build.prop tomorrow just in case.

Again, thank you very much to Randy for the help and for the great ROMs, and thanks to the others that replied with suggestions as well.

To the rest of the guys out there, Donate! I already did. This is a great site with great minds, lets keep it funded for future ROMs.

What about exFAT? Did anyone tried this fs on an external SD card?

          Comment

I haven't tried exFAT. If anyone else does, please report your experience. I have formatted my SD cards to NTFS since the 3066 tablets first came out and am very happy with it.

              NTFS & PARAGON NTFS DRIVER

WOW, thanks all who mentioned NTFS, just learned something I guess.

SO, NTFS is support natively in these ROMS?

I've been under the idea that I needed a 3rd party NTFS driver to read NTFS, and have been using the Paragon NTFS driver to read my 128GB Corsair Survivor drive and others formatted to NTFS.

If there is native support, which would be better for reading NTFS drives? I'd heard of Paragon from years back, and when I searched the play store for an NTFS driver and saw they had one up, I just grabbed it, I never even tried to read an NTFS drive before installing it...

RR, is there any change you could embed Titanium Backup into your ROMs being as most everyone installs it anyway to restore their data after a flash?

And RR, I'd say thanks, but I'm going to put my money where my ROM is being as you are continuing development, and I feel subsequent donations are appropriate given your efforts.

Please SHOW RR how thankful you are for his efforts, and no, I have no connection to him other than I found him trying to resolve a MAJOR problem, and his ROMs fixed my useless perpetually locking up Pipo tablet when Pipo wouldn't/didn't.

At Freaktab.com we have a strict policy not to add someone else's work to a ROM without the developer's permission. Titanium has not given us permission to do so.

If you really want it...add the apk to your autoinstall folder on your external SD. Beware that the key app that unlocks all of the features must be installed by Google Play Store. So you may as well just install both apps that way.

                  RileyRom 1.4??

Just a thought... But if anyone is experiencing stability issues with 1.5 it might be worth trying the ORIGINAL 1.4 ROM.

My first M6 pro worked great with rr1.4 but my second was not stable at 1.4a and 1.4.2. Just received a third and it is running perfectly stable at 1.4 with an over clocked kernel.

As I told many time the best rom so far is the rileyROM 1.4 based on Stock rom dated 25th of November.
I'm still using it. I will not switch on 1.5, I'll wait next one based on kitkat hopefully!!!

I tested it. To avoid falling into the CWM.

I have flash the Rom with default settings too, always the same problem.

Previously I had installed the ksty ROM. they make also problems.

there is an option to go back to original FW?

I mean without CWM and all other things.
                              Just root.
