have a XT-Q7-V10 now but i cant seem to get any firmwares working perfectly (either bluetooth/wifi wouldnt work)

straight out of the box, i don't have any complaints on it.. Wifi is strong, bluetooth pairs, no stuttering on video ... but i just need to root this.

      any suggestions?

I got a OTG cable and using DIY one extension with 2 type A connector 4 pins, colored red, white, green, black, is it correct?

You can try this way also with RootGenius:

I would say this much more easy than Sparky.
It works great! It takes one click only!
Tested on my two CS918/K-R42 boxes so as to root stock ROM.

It may just be an issue with my bluetooth devices - not sure. It pairs, but won't function.

It would be good to know if others have it working.

bluetooth is working - i have send a photo via mobile phone - successful
my bloototh keyboard (noname) works fine with my mobile phone (android) pairing with the Q7 - then "no function"

                    V.V.

receiving a photo via bluetooth - yes
bluetooth keyboard - no (paired but not connected)

                        V.V.

                          Same.

Bluetooth works fine when sending a file from the Q7 to my android phone. I hadn't thought of trying that until I read your post.

Keyboard pairs but will not function.

I've found this possible fix for a Nexus, but I haven't tried it on my Q7 yet.

                            This WORKS!
although when i connected it, it already said it was rooted, and the green button was blank, but i hit it anyway and it rooted it with KingUser.

                            Thanks!
