Is it fully compatible with Ek311B (RK3118 Box v2)? I am asking because I can't find any specs about TRV3 TV box.

    Thank you

Same wifi & bluetooth and it runs.
Should also not have any flickering, if there is, you need to get a 2A power adapter, the supplied one is not stable.

I don't have the figgiest idea where the ROM is, but when I find it, I'll give you the link.

EDIT: This is what I could track down. Let me know if that functions.

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

I DO have the kernal though, which is here:

Trying to find support for this accursed thing has been a NIGHTMARE. I really, really should have bought a Nexus Player instead.

Okay, let's try this. How do you merge the kernel with an existing firmware? I have the necessary files, and can do it myself if I just know how. Everything I've tried so far hasn't worked. Please. Please! The aneurysm you prevent could be my own. Thank you!

The tool that I usually use called "RK3xxx_firmware_tools_5.23.18" by Sergio Poverony.
I tried to upload the file but it wouldn't let me.

I think I found it on Freaktab... how does it work?

Well, I guess I'm making SOME progress. I've been able to alter and flash the firmware on my CX-919 II, but I get trapped in an infinite loop of a still image for five seconds, and a blank screen for five seconds. Using the recovery button doesn't really get me anywhere... I get the Android repair screen for a couple minutes and then it just alternates between Google TV and a blank screen again. I tried NeoMode's ROM and it did the same thing, except I got four Linux penguins instead of the Google TV logo. So I flashed it back to the original firmware, because that's the only thing it seems to accept.

I've heard these systems don't get enough power from the included AC adapter... could that be the problem? Or should I just stop banging my head against this wall and recover from the concussion?

                  Don't give up!
                  Try this ROM http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...921-and-cx-919
I loved it. Very nice looking / performing ROM.

I did. I just put it on my CX-919 II. All I'm getting is a blank screen. I've tried the SD version and all I get is a flashing Google TV logo.

I'm fed up. If it keeps putting up resistance I'm just going to take a hammer to the awful thing. THIS ISN'T WORTH THE TROUBLE!

Edit: Sorry. I'm just losing my patience with this thing. The PC won't recognize it unless I turn it off and connect it to the computer with the recovery button held down. None of the firmwares I've flashed but the official one work, and none of the root tools recognize it. Unless someone can build a firmware for me that's guaranteed to work with this specific model, or is willing to tinker with it themselves, I'm ready to throw in the towel. Too much frustration and blind guesswork.

I flashed a firmware for my stick (Rk3188-T & RTL8723BS) and wifi doesn't work. When I flash the kitkat kernel RTL8723BS, my stick loops at boot logo and nothing happens. What can be the reason?
I tried flashing the kernel with RK Android Tool 1.37 (I put a tick for the kernel and unchecked the rest of them)
I also tried the apk "Flashify" but the result is same: Boot loop.

d33, your kernel fork doesn't use CONFIG_RK3188T_CPU_OVERRIDE, but CONFIG_RK3188_CPU_OVERRIDE instead:

Moreover, CONFIG_RK3188_CPU_OVERRIDE actually limits to 1416 if enabled.
Thus, basically all kernels for RK3188T you've posted will be overclocked to 1608.
