Thanks for your help so far, Marko.
Neomode ROM and D33 kernel works perfectly now.
The problem with the wifi was caused by an Air Mouse I was using which seemed to interfere with the wifi signal.
    I was using the Measy RC13 Air-mouse 2.4G Wireless-Keyboard.

When I replaced it with a standard USB wireless mouse/keyboard, the downloading was at full throttle

In regards to veclinux / Magnus33 mods, are you still referring to post #112 in that thread? I still can't find the right post / download link. Someone else might be keen on it, me personally, I'm not too fussed about it now anymore

Take care, hope things look brighter for you Marko this Christmas (as you mentioned this has been a rough year for you).

I had the same issue with the Mele F10 Pro, curiously it didn't happen with a Mele F10 "standard" (the older version). If you still want to use that remote, here is the trick that worked to me, use a usb male-female extensor, so the remote dongle will be far enough from the device without interfering anymore.

Here you have the post with marko's link:

Not needed for KitKat, only JB.

                Kernel 1080p FULL - AP6210 - Kit Kat?

                Hi.

                I have a CS968 (TV Box):

                1) With the CR11S_cloudnetgo_ap6210_1080p_20131019_update firmware (4.2 Jelly Bean), the resolution 1920x1080 works fully, since startup of the equipment.
1.1.) All is with 1080p resolution.
                1.2.) Icons are small.

                2) With the firmware cr11s_cloudnetgo_ap6210_4.4.2_20140901 (4.4 Kit Kat) the resolution is as follows:
                wm size:
                Physical size: 1280x720
                Override size: 1920x180
                wm density:
                Physical size: 160
                Override size: 240
1.1.) But, all is apparently with 720p resolution.
                1.2.) Icons are big.

I would like to change the kernel for it to be fully 1080p (Kit Kat).

                My Android TV Box is: CS968 - JESURUN (HTC-T018-V1 - 20130816 - AP6210 - CAM: 2MP).

                d33 and friends:
                • Which kernel indicates vc me?
                • As I never changed only the kernel, please indicate a tutorial.

                  Hi all:

I've been using kernel 4.x in my device and it works really well, but if I use kernel 3.x it is not smooth, apparently. I have Neocore 3.1 rom (mk809III, android 4.4.2) and none of the 3.x kernel I have flashed is giving me the great results of 4.x version. If I run antutu it gives me good results (cpu 1.8, score 25000) but it's not smooth at all. Maybe it has to be with refresh rate? Monitor set to 60hz or 50Hz, don't mind, not smooth. If I run es2gears says 60fps, but you can't see it smooth .
The reason why I want to use 3.x kernel is that it has "/dev/tty0" and 4.x hasn't. It is important because I run a chrooted linux and It cannot startx in framebuffer without /dev/tty0

Is there any way to enable /dev/tty0, tty1... in kernel 4.2? Is there any way to run smooth kernels 3.x? If the problem is the rom, which one do you recommend for mk809III?

                  Thanks

It's a configurable option in the build. If you have the capability to build the kernel yourself then it is very straightforward to add. Link to repo in OP.

Oh, thanks for the fast reply. I've "git-cloned" but I don't know what to do exactly to compile it mybe is my arm-crosscompiling virtual machine debian, if I run
                      Code:
                      make mrproper
                      goes well, but
                      Code:
                      make arch=ARM
                      ends with error:

cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-mlittle-endian"
cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-mabi=aapcs-linux"
cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-mno-thumb-interwork"
kernel/bounds.c:1: error: bad value (armv5t) for -march= switch
kernel/bounds.c:1: error: bad value (armv5t) for -mtune= switch
                      make[1]: *** [kernel/bounds.s] Error 1
                      make: *** [prepare0] Error 2

I can't remember which parameter is it (something similar to VT console, but not remembering the exact name is it in .config?)

Ok, thanks, I got it compiling but the image gives me an android reparing image like this:

and it's not starting. Maybe is a problem with the linux bootlogo image I've done to differenciate from other kernel.

                            Any help on this?

                                Hi:

Sorry for the inconvenients, I ask a lot. I've compiled and it runs well but just runs my first good compiled and generated (with mkkrnlimg) one. When I make changes in my config, to change overclocking values, it's not startin after flashing the kernel even though I use any of your configs.
                                Is it neccesary a
                                Code:
                                make mrproper
                                to compile again?

                                Thanks
