Did you try this kernel with 1.6GHz setting? (how movies work)...

    Benobi
I don't even go that high. I can tell you this... at 1.0GHz and 1.2GHz running Plex at 1080p it is PERFECT with no sound delays, I enjoy a full movie with no issues. Not sure why some people complain... I find it odd... AND that includes this odd Stick I have now with Mediatek wifi/bt chipset.... --REASON why I run 1.0GHZ and 1.2GHz is because I run my webcam 24/7 as surveillance inside my house for when ADT calls me with a burglar alarm. I installed cameras outside my house and I was like...uhm... what if they are already inside, how can I tell?

I will run at 1.6 and run antutu and give you #'s when I get a chance.

As explained a page or two back. Excuse me if I'm telling you things you know already

      1. Desktop resolution is not the same as HDMI output resolution

      2. Currently I can select 1920*1080 desktop or 1280*720

      3. I specify acceptable HDMI resolutions in source code.

      4. The HDMI driver requests CEA compliant HDMI modes from the device. If none are returned it assumes the device is a DVI device and accepts DMT but switches off audio
      - 1366*768 is a DMT standard
      - 1920 and 1280 are CEA

      5. I can force DMT HDMI modes but I lose CEA modes

      6. EDID information returned from a device is grouped into CEA and DMT

Given that far more people want CEA modes I'm not doing 5

Also the desktop will be scaled at that resolution and so will look poor

The best solution will be to make a dedicated kernel with a 1366*768 desktop and forced DMT HDMI option to match.

      Thanks for the deatiled explanation!!

If I am getting you right you are keen to make a dedicated kernel for just me and the others would like native 1366x768? That would be perfect
Is it correct that issuing "wm size 1366x768" from a terminal inside android sets the desktop resolution? If it is, we just need your dedicated kernel to put our Tv-s to 1366x768.

      Thank in advance.

Hi, you only need to run the wm size command once, it will remember on next boot. Cheers.

So far no-one has overheated at 1.6/600/720 so I wouldn't worry!
I have a feeling I lost Wifi with this version, I can't see it on my network anymore after flashing it. I do see a usb mass storage but I can't access it. I wish there was a way of powercycling USB power on a port in case it didn't completely boot. I guess I will have to wait until I get home.

Bugger! I thought the alternative BT build would be safe for WiFi

                Hi,

                Im just testing debug10 overclocked.
I can confirm theres 1.6GHz value (CPU).
                System works faster.
Wifi works so far, theres no bluetooth (hope it can be fixed).
I just wonder if you can make also 720p kernel.
This debug10 you made is 1080p.

                Can you do that please?

                Regards,

                Benobi

Once I've got it working I'll provide variants

                  Can you provide DMESG ?

You could always change to 1280x720 using ADB wm size command

                      debug10.txt

Hope 720 kernel will be avaible too, and maybe a Little more overclocked

You think we can get it working?

                            NCR_3.1_debug10_oc.txt

I tested debug10_oc on NCR MTK 1 and it does work, I must have switched to NCR 3.1 when I tested before. Disregard debug10 wifi not work, it does work.

                              Hi,

After tested debug10 (i was watching 2 movies from sd card) i can say theres something wrong...
My tv started blinking every 30-60 seconds. There is also problem with sound (similar situation).

                              m4f1050 - can you test debug10 (movies)?

                              Regards,
