You did everything right. At first I was giving him the gpio table dump also, I failed to include the script that dumps the switches values. What he needed was the gpio switches values. Here is the original and the updated scripts for next time:

          No-one came back on the MK7601 / ESP8089 / RTL8723 variants so I guess there isn't a real demand
          Hello
I have a CS968 box with MT5931 wifi and MT6622 bluetooth. I need working kernel for this box, i tried your kernel 4.2 - Ethernet work well, but wifi don't. Today I will try debug_10 and debug_11 kernels.

Also, I know on forum many peoples, who has a CS918 box with ESP8089 wifi. I will put messages on forums about help to you in kernel testing. Can you give a link to experimental kernels for this wifi chip (on first page link doesn't work)?

          Thank you for your work!

            kernel_KK_v4.2.5_TVSTICK_MT5931_HD_debug11_oc test results

kernel_KK_v4.2.5_TVSTICK_MT5931_HD_debug11_oc.img test results for my CS968:
            1. Wifi works, BT does not
            2. kernel is much snappier with Antutu score of around 18500+, CPU unlocked @ 1.6 GHz.

            m4f1050,
Generating the GPIO dumps is simply executing your newer scripts in the terminal emulator under different combinations, right? In my case, when I turn the BT, it tries for a few minutes before going again into disabled state. So for the BT "on" case, do I need to wait until it goes into disabled or execute the script when the BT is attempting to turn on?

Yes, but you need to do it on a kernel with working wifi and bt like NCR MTD v1
Do you know of any other KitKat ROM that has working wifi and bt for your cs968?
              Please let us know.

Yes, I have stock ROM's which has both Wifi/BT working. Currently, I use Tech1 customized versions of stock ROM's for CS968 found here.

Just now i tested this kernels. HDMI out work well on both kernel versions. Wifi work, speedtest indicate 23 down/33 up, but on stock firmware I got 33down/43 up Mbs.
                  Ethernet works.
                  No AV-out (in 4.22 was).
                  Bluetooth does't work.
Camera does't work, but camera doesn't work and in 4.22 kernel version.

d33, can you enable AV-out and make camera working? and, of couse, bluetooth...

Now, i have working stock firmware with working bluetooth, but i have HDMI constantly blinkig (lost connection) and kernel with 720p.

Huh! This looks like NCR MTK 1 but with different splash screen, more apps and rooted. I wish there was another one with 1080p with working wifi and bluetooth.

EDIT: I flashed debug11_oc via "flash_image" and also TWRP 1920x1200 recovery and it seems to be the same behavior. Wifi and HDMI work fine, no bluetooth. I have a feeling these (CS968 and NCR MTK 1) are the same base ROM. I do like the fact that it has Show Box built in (CS968) because it would not install on NCR MTK 1.

Now that's interesting. I did not know Tech1 uses NCR ones. I thought he had used the stock ROM's for CS968.

The stock ROM's for CS968 are KK and have Wifi/BT working. They are probably 720 but you can switch to 1080 via wd. Maybe you have seen this, but the "official" page for CS968 on FreakTab is here. The stock ROM's are pretty stable but slow.

He doesn't (I don't think) I did mention "base" ROM right? That means stock ROM, probably same system but tweaked differently.

Hi, can you build for device RTL8723BS please? I see there is a huge demand for this wifi in this forum but noone has yet built anything, so it should be great if you can. Thanks.
