I got 1080p 60 no flickering 4.4 ) finally. I got from my friend exactly same stick (we bought them Together) and on this one everything works smooth.. I thought my stick is broken, but I asked my friend to check it in his tv. The funny think is on his lg everythink is ok...
That stick was not working on my sony Bravia, we switched and it's ok..
    Can someone explain?

    Soory for poor English

Just wondering has anyone tried the new KitKat firmware on an Android box with these same internals? Tried it myself and have had problems

Has anyone else problems with streaming over WLAN?

        Hello,

i have flashed the Stick with this KitKat-ROM and everything seems to work quite well - except the WLAN-Connection. Although i have no problems connecting to my Hotspot, the signal strength toggles always between 2 and 3 bars (out of 4). There is no direct wall between my router and the TV-Stick, but my TV is mounted to a wall that is 90° direction to the router about 6m away. That should be no Problem, because my XBox is connected also via WLAN and the Signal is strength and stable.
Even replacing the WLAN-antenna inside of the case like its recommended in several youtube-videos (WLAN-antenna replaced as far from the CPU as possible) has helped nothing... so i think, there is a problem with the driver or something else.
Is there any possibility to connect the Stick via LAN (maybe an USB2LAN-Adapter)? But i need the USB2.0-Port (Type A) for my K400-Wireless Keyboard. Maybe i need an MicroUSB-LAN-Adapter? Or is there an MicroUSB->USB-Port Type A-Adapter ?

Maybe someone has the same problems and knows how to solve them! Many thanks in advance!

if you go under Settings, there should be an option called "Ethernet"

That's for the usb ethernet adapter. just plug it into the OTP or HOST port.
For the wifi, you know.. it's chinese stuff. they have to be like that XD
Joking.. mine sometimes disconnect, but it's far away from the router. try to change the encryption type. mine is an WPA1 - AES

I have same Problem. I use an Ethernet/usb adpater with. But the stick doesn't recognize the lan. I tried it with power lan and normal lan. No result. Do i have to use the the Ethernet/usb hub adaper with external power? There are no possibility to do more than activate the Ethernet and wait......he find his mac adress but no ip adress. I can not find Ethernet configuration in stick Ethernet menu. The Rom ist last rom from neomode and the stick is a mk809iii. Someone an idea? Xoman

I think if the firmware does not contain the correct driver for the ethernet adapter / usb, it will not work.

The problem is then to compile the driver, but you have to get firmware sources and knowledge to do so.

I have an adapter usb/ethernet and a CD with drivers (ch9100 / ch9200), but it is useless for me now.

By some people lan is working without external driver. It make no sense to have a switch for activating ethernet in stick settings without implement driver.

Right, I have been closely looking through the chinese link to all the firmwares. I have found the Jelly Bean Stock ROM for both the dongle version of these internals and the box version however I can only find the KitKat ROM for the dongle, not the box. Anyone help me?

The names of the firmware seem to change too, the numbers 8723 keep appearing? Is this something else or is it another different Wifi chip? Something like an ESP 8723?

I have the KitKat ROM and everything seems great except the Bluetooth keeps dopping. It's like the BT driver keeps restarting every ~15 minutes. Anyone else have this issue? Does 4.2.2 not have this if your one with KitKat does?

I didn't try 4.2.2 stock ROM. I flashed it straight to KitKat when I got it a few days ago.

I also noticed the KitKat ROM was removed from baidu.

                      Cx-919ii with RK3188-T MT6622N and SP8089

                      Hi everybody,

I have bought a TV stick though Aliexpress recently but it did not worked when I plugged it to TV.
I have installed different firmware but WiFi and Bluethooth have not been enabled.
I opened the box saw that it has RK3188-T MT6622N and SP8089 on PCB.

I read all the story about it in this form.

I want to download and try the firmware "cyxtech_rk31_809III_8089_140324_2G.rar"
Can someone inform me about the place?
Thanks a lot for your effort!

I got the same issue with a Sony Bravia with 1366*768 resolution.

'140324' '140402' and the KitKat one works on others monitor/TV but not on mine.

I advise you to try 140509' wich works for me

You can find links on this forum.

                                MK809III stock rom dump

                                Bought MK809III v2.1 on ****.

                                Text on board is: CYX_809III_RK3188 v2_1 20140208 1414
It's, of course, rk3188t, and chips are as follows:

                                mediatek
                                mt6622n
                                1220--bgal
                                btgcb518

                                esp8089
                                432013
                                psr601

                                ite
                                it66121fn
                                i350-bxg
                                aconpc

I did backup dump (using great how-to from Bob and using tools from "rk_tool21_how_to.zip" I found

on freaktab.com) before I try other ROMs. I expect, due to newest hardware on MK809II, that wi-fi

and bt won't work but it's not so important to me right now, so...

Here are links for those dumps if anybody needs them (all files are compressed with 7z).

It's stock Android 4.2.2 which I get already installed - not rooted, has google play, file

explorer, browser - it's not bloated really, so I'll probably at some point, after some thinkering

with other ROMs, get back to it and just root it and use it.

As always use them at your own peril
