I can not confirm that geekbuying ships too slow. I knew it was pre sell so I had to wait a while. That was cool, because my life didn't depend on the device. They shipped it 2 or 3 days after pre sell ended, because of quality testing. That was the time when you were fed up and cancelled your order. Why? Impatience I think.

I received my s89-h yesterday and was having lots of fun with it!
However tonight, it has just shut itself off and won't power back up. Completely dead after about a total of 3 hours use
Will message Eric and hopefully it's not going to take too long to get a working replacement.
Will keep you posted. Soooooo disappointed

Totally dead unfortunately. No sign of life (no led of any colour) whatsoever.

I'd just put in a new blank 64gb micro sd card today but it was working fine after that. I'd just watched a movie and was about to install some xbmc addons and while I was typing in a web address.....gone!

Maybe only power adapter has died, can't you test it using a multimeter?

Maybe the PSU is dead?
Do you have another 5V PSU with fitting plug?

Yeah I thought that could be a possibility. I don't own a multimeter but I found another power adapter with same specs from another device. Tried it on the s89-h and still nothing. Then tried the adapter that came with the vega and it powered up the other device fine. So definitely the s89-h itself is the problem.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, but it looks like I'v got a dead s89-h on my hands. I'll wait until I hear from Eric and see how soon I can get a replacement.

Only issue i am having

About to install xbmc, I have already installed and tested showbox and hdcartoon,

airpin pro isn't working correctly but that could be me...

can anyone recommend any other apps to try?

Keyboard

I got my unit today, updated to the latest stock rom. Had trouble downloading & installing more than one app at time. Initially I was very frustrated with the air mouse & a small bluetooth keyboard. Installed a bluetooth mouse & it started to shine!

Very initial impressions are that I am blown away, changed the VPN setting on my router & got Netflix & ABC iView installed with no problem. I cant seem to find an APK for BBC iPlayer, can anyone help me with this?

I think that a good bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad would be a good investment, can anyone suggest one?

I’ve used logitech K400.

I found it too big. Now I’m using RII RT-MWK28. Everything is working well.

Regarding my faulty unit. Eric responded quickly and has asked me to send it back. He did say that as soon as I provide the tracking info for the return, that they will send a replacement. So that's good that I don't have to wait for it to be received before a new one is sent! Just waiting to hear back from the returns department. Will keep you up to date on how I go.
