DTS-HD and True-HD options not showing up in xbmc audio setting menu under android and when I play them my AVR not detect it as HD audio, but same files in xios the-hydra linux which has HD audio options in setting show up as DTS-HD and True-HD in my pioneer AVR.

I'm starting to like my xbmc under android, I set my home to xbmc so it boots to xbmc and also I can run my android apps from programs menu. but how many times I use those apps ? lol .... almost never.

I think a solid xbmc box under linux would be much more stable and faster than xbmc under android.

I have the same problem here. There are no DTS and DTS True HD options in XBMC. I remember seeing those options in earlier XBMC versions. My AV Receiver does not recognise DTS HD even though the S802 H should be playing them with no problems through XBMC software decoding. Why is this so? I had to buy a Mede8er 600x3d Box to play these files with proper audio encoding. Such a shame if anyone can fix this Oman?

stane1983 is an xbmc dev and has made many excellent contributions for amlogic based chipsets. Use his www.stane1983.com in the downloads/xbmc section. Make sure you get the android 4.4.2 version. As far as xbmc not loading/installing that is most likely because you didn't uninstall a previous version of xbmc.

Black bars on top and bottom while watching video

Hello, I have strange black bars covering the top and bottom of MOST of the picture on playback. Any ideas how to get rid of them? it's odd they they don't cover 100% of the width of the picture...

I tested several videos and at first they didn't show those black bars, suddenly they appeared and since then they reapear in mostly every video (MOVIE) i play, I XBMC AND OPENELEC INSTALLED IN OTHER MACHINES USING THE SAME HDD TO PLAY VIDEOS AND THEY DON'T SHOW THE BLACK BARS, so the problem is with the Android build.




What could i do to fix that? any setting i shuould change? anyone?

Oman XBMC Rights

Hi, I would like to use Oman XBMC, just was about to install it on my S89, but then I was shocked:
I had to accept an inadequate number of privileges that the package wants, i.e. using the device as phone, changing contacts, reading mails, etc. etc.
Is there a (maybe technical) reason for that? The original XBMC android package is asking for only 2 rights.

I'm using your XBMC 14 alpha version, on my M8 Square box with Finless 1.8.

I have juste some problem playing video from some addon like Disclose.tv
I have audio, but not video, I'm not sure if it come from the firmware or from XBMC.

Else, It working perfectly for me, I can play 1080p nicely.

I add system authority to xbmc,so the android no need to be rooted,that's why.
