Good news and bad news:
Previously my video was black and audio was fine - that has been fixed, thanks!
BUT
Bad news is when I am playing a video and choose the Audio or Video icons in the playback menu, XBMC crashes immediately. This is repeatable.
I guess it's because of the alpha build... dang.
I wonder how to get the video playback working on a stable xbmc build, anyone?

install his 13.1 build.. his 14 alpha is what causes it to crash.

Amlogic s802 M8 addons stuck at Downloading 0%

hi Folks.
I git clone xbmc source code from xbmc official website to 20140512,and did some modify.

It can play 4k/rmvb/h265 video instead of invoking mxplayer.

I installed the (xbmc-for-amlogic-20140513-oman.apk) after updating the firmware to (K200-OTA-20140518) and everything seems to be going good but I cannot install any addons. No download will install. They are all stuck at Downloading 0%. I have installed xbmc on my Windows and my Mac and I have them running good. This M8 box is a lot slower when downloading anything but why is every add on download stuck at 0%? I have tried using wireless and ethernet and neither will work. What would be a cause of all downloads to get stuck at 0%?

Try to download the addon separately(in zip format) from superrepo....and then install them manually. For me works with 1 channel

that's what I have to do with 1channel also. for some reason that one never auto updates

If you use the fast forward buttons, after a couple of fast forward or fast seeks, I find the video looses integrity (meaning video starts to bleed). Anyone know how to fix this? or if this is a firwmare problem. Using Finless 1.7.

1.7 problem , issue with codecs, its hit and miss at moment, some users get good playback , others not so good, most will recommend 1.6 for now.

I've notice a problem;

If I change the resolution to 720p XBMC menus are ok but Movies are not Centre the screen ...
looks like picture 4x bigger than the screen and only 1/4 of the picture watchable .

Gotham RC also same but 720p videos working ok

Oman's apk is the only build with working HW decoding on my S89 tronsmart.
Unfortunately it's still unusable because i have the same problem as TMX , video doesn't fit the screen.

I can't change the resolution (1080p).
I use the last firmware 105k4 not rooted.
I tried alpha14 and 13.1 Oman's build.

Changing to software rendering doesn't seem to change anything.
