Ah, ok. How high of a resolution and bitrate does it handle for H.265 using SW decoding? Have you tested it enough to find out?

          Thankyou!

XMBC 13.1 works well. I did notice you can't play m4v, but I think that's a limitation of the amlogic.

Aren't m4v files just MPEG4 video streams and AAC audio streams in an Apple container? If so, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to decode the video and audio if it has the appropriate splitter (which is something provided by the application or OS, not the hardware decoder).

This would be a much better thread on xbmc forums. If you want specific device support, all the xbmc devs are looking there... Oman and stane great work, but redirect this thread to the official xbmc for android thread so logs can be implemented in future gotham/helix development.

its a light weight Linux with only xbmc gui to run a fast xbmc
                        we all know android limitations ( 1080p 24, DTS-HD, True-HD Audio ... )

Sam Nazarko's crystalbuntu for atv1 and raspberry pi, the-hydra for xios and many others are same

I believe that is only a feature they will be bringing to helix not gotham. However if its a simple .xml fix instead of a xbmc system or system lib fix then instructions would be great. haven't really looked around on xbmc xmls since frodo but i remember if you created an advancedsettings.xml it would take precedence over the guisettings. There you could set max resolution and framerate settings for different video formats. If I remember correctly guisettings.xml and advancedsettings.xml don't play well together in gotham. So maybe there might be guisettings tweaks that can potentially fix this in gotham? wiki.xbmc.org probably has a current tutorial on gotham tweaking...
