Latest 5MP rom 17.7 review

OK, I have being running the latest version 17.7 Rom for a week and here is my short summary:
Pros:
- HD thumnails/icons (very sharp compared to the older version).
- Smooth and quick
- XBMC is streaming smoothly and very sharp with 1080p, One feature I missed from the old Beyond 3.4 is that when I pause the movie, it displayed the movie description. I heard from Flumbster that he enabled one of the feature in the skin. The second thing is that it should come pre-configured with sources like (fusion,mashup,xfinity), It would be nice for a quick setup. I was able to install all my top notch movie add-on like mashup, icefilm,1channel,GOMovies, GOTV, Glow Movies HD and Yify Movies HD, IWO-watch. I would rate the xbmc build in a 9 out of 10.
- Pre-root works nice, but need to update from play store.

Cons:
- Quickboot and Android weather are not working.
- Reboot randomly needs to pull the power in order to boot up. (was't an issue with the old version). Only happened twice for me, but since I don't reboot the device that much so no issue here.

Summary: This latest version is the best, video/thumbnails/images are super sharp (even SD is high quality) and 1080p streaming beautifully. Wifi/ethernet/bluetooth/mouse/keyboard are all working as expected. Once the rom settle, the rom is very smooth and snappy. I'm very happy with this version. I will update this once I see anything else. Cheers and again THANK YOU TECH1 for another great build. Hats off to you Sir!

I believe this version was already pre-rooted ... Tell me how the 5MP camera works on the 17.7 ... Oh! I remember now, I sent you this ROM build as a private tester, ok, yeah ... Thanks a million for your evaluation ....! I see we like the very same XBMC addons ...(lol)

You should be able to access the casting menu in display options and select your Chromecast. The Quick Settings icon we've been seeing on stock devices for months seems to be live as well. It's also in the Chromecast app, which finally makes that app useful beyond setting up the dongle. The screen is beamed over without any further fiddling ...

Video seems okay (depending on network) with some artifacting, but audio goes over fine. Sound still works with the screen off too...

[EXPERIMENTAL] ENABLE MIRRORING FROM ANY DEVICE]

Some of you may have heard of me before, and for the ones that haven't, let this be a warm introduction.
After hearing of the new Chromecast app with Beta support for mirroring, I decided to see if it's possible to enable for all devices. Apparently it is!

I assumed that some devices just wouldn't stream well, so I decided to mark this as [EXPERIMENTAL]. Please note that I did not make the feature, just the method to enable it.
Please note that you need the latest version of the Chromecast companion app and root access on your device (not your chromecast) for this to work properly.

Tech1, I don't know how hard it is but if you could create an upgrade rom that doesn't wipe data would be nice, just a thought. Many people here would not upgrade just for one additional app and they have to redo the setup again.

I think you missed my point about apps you cannot download direct from the Play Store to your Android TV box, it's more than just a few apps in my Multi-Media Super ROM builds ...

I know exactly what you are talking about restoring your data, which would make it easy to put back all your favorite apps and save a lot of time, we think ... When I was building Smartphones/Tablets ROM builds, I did exactly as you described above ...

Then I discovered, while restoring my data back to my devices, their would never be a 100% restoration exactly as before, data would always be missing, causing my devices to work/operate with erratic behavior... That's the reason why I stopped building ROMs with the restore feature ....

It's always better to take your time and rebuild your current new ROM build installation each time you install a new ROM build ... It may take some time, but it will save you a lot of headaches in the long run ...

2) Do I have to flash JB bootloader or it's already build-in with your image file?
