Yes, you're right. But as someone already said, some orders were placed through AliExpress 2G/8G listing, so it's all mixed up. We're waiting on Tina to shed some light on it... I already asked that twice, but no answer...

Maybe I am not getting the importance?

    Bob
It's the other way around the way I see it. I always find it more cost-effective to expand my storage with sd cards, than cashing out double or triple amounts of money for the same gigs. The read/write speeds are comparable, and if the device suddenly dies, at least I don't loose all of my data. I need only 2 or 4GB for apps partition, and all other data I can mount on my external sd with FolderMount or similar tools.

Regarding RAM, why is it important? Well, personaly, I want to be future-proof, if I'm already cashing out much more than for other brand models, I'm planning to stick with it for awhile. It's only a matter of time when 3 or 4GB will become a standard. Next, the much more powerful Mali-T764 deserves no less. I believe in near future much more complex Android games will be released, and they will certainly become much more memory hungy. Last but not least - Linux distors, if they become supported. Linux will find a way to allocate every last bit of those 4GB. Ofcourse, that's all under assumption Android OS can fully allocate all 4GB. Otherwise, we're really throwing our money into the wind.

    Just my 2 cents...

The new Samsung Note 4 is rumored to have 4gigs of RAM so it might be possible. As a habit I always try to buy devices with the highest hardware specs available as to avoid buyers remorse .... "Damn I knew I should have gotten the one with more RAM". With the ability of the RK3288 to run Chrome O/S I think 4gigs of RAM is well worth the extra money.

        New launcher pics

        Tina sent me these today.
Also apparently factory has reconsidered and waived the 30pc minimum and will begin production but she was given a choice. Because the hdmi chip with input can only output 2.0 at 30hz, they will make units without hdmi in but 60hz output or with hdmi in and 30hz output.
All this could change because they are still trying to source out an hdmi chip with inpt that can output 2.0 at 60hz.
My vote is for hdmi in

+1 for HDMI IN. This is one of the reasons that I order this box.

Hdmi in is my choose, I have it on my sample and we really enjoy this feature.

NO need for hdmi in - all devices are connected to av-receiver or tv (bedroom)

              important is 4k@60hz

              thanks

I think those that want to wait for hdmi in and 2.0 @ 60hz need to contact Tina

I would vote for 4K@60Hz as well. No need for HDMI in for me.

I had emailed Tina as well and she had informed that they are currently testing the 4G/32G model and it should be available soon.

(but as I will wait a little bit, I can also wait till IN with OUT 4K@60 will be available, BUT I also can live with OUT 4K@30)

I'll wait for them to find both @ 60Hz. I agree future proofing is best.

I personally prefer not so "many" colours... of cause you only use blue, yellow and green, BUT I would prefer all at (different kinds of) blue (the grey at My Device etc. is OK) ....

for me e.g. , it's important to know if you fix the latest layout issues mentioned by rockchip before you will produce the devices(PCBs)...
