Finless 1.0 ROM for the Minix X8

I'll give this go and see if it's any better. noticed my streams are shuttering aswell. Not good. It's not a buffer but a shutter if that makes sense

Can someone comfirm netflix hd 1080p is working with this rom?
Is it possible te get 1080p 24hz (or hz) working?

From my tests, the conclusion is that Netflix is not in 1080p. 5.1 audio (if present) option becomes available only in HD and I never got that option in the movies/clips that I tested. I always get 4300kbps, 5800kbps bitrate HD on all my other devices (Roku 3, Chromecast, Windows 8.1 app, Nexus 7).

No 1080p 24Hz (Android limitation).

What temperatures do you get in idle mode ? Does 60C sound too high ? I have no ideas what range my CPU should be in.

I got an idle temperature of 84F/28.8C (from top cover). CPU temperature reported in XBMC was 86F/30C (don't know whether this is correct).

I used an application called Android Tuner and that is reporting around 60c for CPU temperature. However i read the previous post and Wek05 reported a temperature of 30c from XBMC so i checked in XBMC and its reporting exactly 30c at Idle time. So perhaps its just Android Tuner giving me a very high temperature and i have nothing to worry about.

I was just worried that my unit might be overheating but that seems its not the case then.

I have not really used any temp apps to monitor what's is going on. Reason is some think they do not work correctly. I go by how hot my CPU feels with the cover off.

Do some reading and see what you find. I don't think 60C internal core temp is a problem but is that real?

Actually i did some further investigation and it seems that the temperature XBMC is reporting of 30C/86F is in fact the battery temperature which does not exist on this unit. Seems like this temperature is always static at 30C/86F.

I found another app called CPU Temperature by Mooncakes on the PlayStore and its reporting exactly the same temperature as Android Tuner was which is around 60C in my case.

Can someone Install CPU Temperature and see what temperatures are reported to you.

Thanks! You were absolutely right. XBMC is reporting battery temperature. Anyways.. I installed "CPU Temperature". It is reporting an idle temperature of 44C (Ambient room temperature - 22C).

I just tried a few of these apps. The mooncake CPU temp app works the best I can tell. All theother apps the temp is always never changing. CPU temp you can see the trend of temps with CPU usage so I am thinking it is working. My high is 150F and low is 102F.

Screen mirroring Samsung Note 3 HDCP error

I have an X8-H (and an X7) running stock firmware. I can't screen mirror my Samsung Note 3 onto either device. (Keep getting stupid HDCP errors.) Will a custom firmware (Finless, etc) fix this problem or will the fix HAVE to come from Samsung?
