hmm disappointed that development for the S802 appears to be dead in the water.

Unlikely the remaining issues are mostly codec related which isn't a easy fix and with the new product out its not top of the list.
Slower development yes but doubtful its close to dead yet.

The r89 and r82 based on the rk3288 chipset..newer would be a better description and the newer aml should be hitting next year.

But though development has slowed down more then we like its hardly dead.
The old rk3188 devices still get support to a lesser degree even now.

Nope although there is the new Draco from tronsmart but considering their quality control iam keeping my distance.

We have no updated firmware on rk3288 by Oman's team, like s802.
Sad, but i suppose Oman works on anothers projects.

We have to wait for independant devs to use last RK/AML sdk for new firmware...

No need to be there always some who doubt and forget the longer development goes on the its normal the more difficult problems that are left tackle.

The codecs being a big one would necessarily take longer to work on.

Also we have a new xmas toy to play with now...lol.
