Sorry to hear for yours. I hope its only software but not hardware, because i don't want to go trough tinydeal aftersale HELL. They are already pissing me off with request of photos videos etc. And it will become same story as yours, pay return etc, wait them to confirm receiving it which will take long time etc.
I learned my lesson and i i am not going to buy anything like electronic from China anymore, at least not for this price.

Did you pay through PayPal?
You must NEVER update/change the software or make any changes to the tablet until you are satisfied that it is working 100%. Once you know that it is working properly, make a backup/copy/download of the original ROM, then change the ROM, just in case you need to go back.
Hope your problem is resolved soon.

BUT to receive a used tablet is brutality as can be.

I have enjoyed your writing to them, perfecty how you put them under pressure and they do not like the steps as you told them.
Ones had someting like this and the seller had to fix the problem he was not amused I made a case with paypal.

At the other hand I paid a little more and was lucky to find a seller near bye.

My Pipo p1 is working fine for a couple of weeks with original configuration.

Hope for all you guys it will be solved soon.

Just keep us informed how it goes on.

Unfortunately, they don't want to know us after the money has gone into their accounts. Well, I will not make it easy for anyone to take my money and then dictate conditions to me! No sireeeee.... Gonna be difficult cheating this black duck!

Arm cortex A12 instead of A17...rokchip take us for a blind drunk monkey?

I know there aren't much difference between a12 And a17(big-little capable And minor optimization), but my question is why RK advertise rk3288 like cortex a17???

Yeah, i know that! My p1 even with a faulty cpu that i lock at 1.4ghz it's pretty fast and smooth in all operation,Ui and web browsing, gaming...all go smooth and almost lag free..but really don't know why rokchip and all chinese SoC manufactors lie about their SoC spec..a12 instead a17, 1.6ghz max freq(in my case 1.4😭 ) instead of 1.8 etc..

After all, any news about new fw from pipo for P1, maybe with battery drain on standby fix??

So far I've only seen one advertisement on Geekbuying for a presell...but I haven't seen a firmware yet for the P8.

I included it in the title of this thread because I thought it would follow the P1...but we have a P9 and P4, but no P8 yet.

I don't like the 4:3 ratio especially for watching movies!

Am I the only one not liking the 4:3 aspect ratio? I got used to the M9Pro's 16:10 and from pictures 4:3 tablets just look weird to me.


What are your thoughts/experience? and what do you prefer?

Btw I am ordering the P1 for a friend so I'll get my hands on it and give you information if you need any.

Yes, the Samsung tab looks really nice, but I guess it cost a bit more than Pipo P1.
