    I totally disagree!
4.3 ratio is not outaded, just because for example is simply the PERFECT ratio for internet browsing and books reading, these are the main activities of my tablet, so for me 16:9 and 16:10 are useless!
And again it is not a case that Apple is continue selling ONLY 4:3 ratio for their tablets...
And last but not least 2048x1536 is a very good resolution (pixels are invisible), I don't feel any need to go on higher (that simply drain battery faster).

keep in mind that politics of Samsung is to fool their customer with shining characteristics. Intelligent customers must be able to go beyond numbers and choose the model of their needs!

        PIPO P8 unboxing http://mikecanex.wordpress.com/2014/...po-p8-unboxed/

i hope this one will not have th2 2 mayor problems of P series:

        1 standby battery drain

2 possible 'death' after full discharged tablet

In my opinion theese two problems should be sticky in this forum tiil and if they were solved.

the good news is that this one have a SEPARATE 3G module,
finally Pipo decided to use external module instead of their awful integrated 3G ones...

Hey guys, there seems to be some confusion about which type of RAM the P1 uses. Their official website lists it as DDR3, but lists the P8 and P4 as having LPDDR2. So it seems as though Pipo is not using the DDR and LPDDR distinction interchangeably. But some 3rd party websites claim the P1 has LPDDR3.

Mike Cane and I are having a discussion about this but we seek clarification. Has anyone taken apart their P1 and can confirm what type of RAM it uses? Is it DDR3 or LPDDR3?

                  Thank you very much.

I think P1 retina is DDR3. FullHD tabs are DDR2

When I originally started this thread, the P1 and P8's were the only RK3288 tablets available from Pipo.

Since we've also been discussing the P4 and P9 tablets on this thread and have other models in the works from Pipo....does anyone care if I rename this thread to "Pipo RK3288 Tablets: Discussion"

I don't want to confuse people...so please let me know. It's an easy edit.

For pipo p1 users or interested in buying one of them:

On P1 stock kernel is finally enabled deep sleep function on 3g models (very good Pipo!)
3g module on P1 is still not good, but better than previous models with a real speed of 2,2Mbit download (rated should be 7Mbit)

I've renamed this thread to better define the purpose if it. Thanks everyone for the input.
