It's still on Geekbuying.com's presell. It has a 7.9" screen...like all the other iPad Mini clones.

Good news!!!! I'm going to be a tester for the P9. When I get it I will start a new thread just for it.

Maybe I should have made the title of this thread a little more open. Yes we have gotten off track a little bit...but its all good information.

        Dear Friend,

        Good day.

Our technicians told me we will have newer firmware for P1.

        Best regards,

Yes, based on past practices...we will see updates from Pipo for this new series for a while.

It's our job to report any problems we find to them....as soon as we discover them, so as many issues can be addressed while they are at it. Anna is our very important contact.

I''m very pleased with my Pipo P1 and your custom ROM 1.3 Wi-Fi version is really good.
Also, this customer & manufactuer relation makes it just fantastic.

In reality Anna is not competent at all, she is only a point of contant.

But don't worry, you will receive support for the brand new P1 for at least 6-7 months.
Considering that RK3288 has been released recently on the market I think you will have even more than 7 months of support and probably many ROM releases.

                Not the Best start

Help! OK having read some of the comments on this tread i my have jinxed my luck. I have had P1 for 3 days it has worked perfectly until tonight when using google maps the tablet froze then the screen went blank. I have tried to rest the unit but currently it is unresponsive. Can anyone offer any help?

I reported earlier my p1 won't charge to 100%. So I bought another original charger. Same thing. It can only charge my p1 to 93, 94%

                      Stephan2 sparrow,

                      You can try following.

Connect your power adapter, press the power on button for more than 20 seconds. So realy long, look if the tablets restarts,if not try again just for 4 seconds.

If this brings noithing disconnect the power adapter and try again for 20 seconds if no reaction try again for 4 seconds.

In this way I was able to fix a complete tablet brake down from a friend (not a pipo )

Further you can do a hard reset.

Just let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the information, I have just tried this however it has not helped in this case. Its still one dead pipo. Also to added the tablet was charging fine however i have notice the box the power pack was sent in was for a M8 HD.
Could someone clarify the process for a Hard reset on a pipo?

                          I have tried the following:-
Connect power hold the power button and the volume - button and use a pin in the rest hole, then keep holding the power and volumev - . Think is the correct one but my Chinese is a little rusty.

If you connect pipo with usb is recognised by the pc or not? If pressing volume+ together with power button when usb is connected and the PC is not able to correctly recognize the pipo, then you probably have problems with power regulators (really common to some pipo tablets) and you need to send the tablet back for warranty.

So maybe you have a wrong power adapter.?

On my box there is a sticker pipo p1.

Can you confirm on the adpter is written 9 volt 2500 ma

As the pipo p1 power adapter is different to previous adapters.
