I suppose that keeping the display in landscape mode with the screen in front of you the hot side is the right one. Isn't it?

Please share your findings once you tested it.
Jungle Jump and Jungle Heat are two totally diifferent games. Like I said Jungle Heat keeps crashing. Jungle Jump might work correctly.

tested jungle heat in the following conditions:
25°C in the room.
Tablet with plastic cover (doesn't help heat dissipation).
Played for 1 hour and 4 minuts
Internet connection over 3G (it should drain a little bit more battery)
I played 9-10 missions
battery level at the beginning of play 78%
battery level at the end of play 59%
with CPU spy I verified that CPU remains almost all the time at 1.664Mhz and sometimes down to 1144Mhz (for 4 minutes only).
the tablet become barely lukewarm after 30 minutes of playing and remains in that state till the end.
No stability issues, no crashes.
This game doesn't seems to require high power to the tablet, I don't see reasons why it should be overheated with the P1. It's not a complex game.
If this game makes the P1 becoming hot, what can happen if you play with asphalt 8 for 1 hour??Last edited by giouncino; 09 August 2014, 10:57.if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

Re: Pipo P1 and P8 tablets with RK3288
I hope stability is improved soon on Pipo P1. Tested a few different common games at very ordinary use, also simple and daily things like You Tube watching and the tab gets warm/hot and randomly crash too.
Any ideas?
...please do not advice about "cube x.. whatever" .…or any other tablets. I'm curious about how we can improve Pipo P1.
Replace it with another tablet is not an option (not economically possible for me).

What can I say to you is that probably P1 has too high voltages values in the kernel. On my former m6pro (RK3188) I modded kernel reducing voltages. This lead to 2 improvements:
- less heat production
- increased battery duration of up to 10 - 15%
I'm sure it could be done to RK3288 too. I could try do to the same for P1 too but I cannot test it because I do not have any P1 to test!
Oterwise, you can open your tablet and install a metal heatspreader to increase dissipation and reduce SoC temperature. Inside the tablet there is enough room to do thisLast edited by giouncino; 10 August 2014, 15:33.if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

Jlunse,
Are you still using the original pipo rom? I think you posted earlyer that you flashed a new one ?
I'am not a gamer but play lots of you tube live concerts like santana eric clapton the scorpions always full concerts and no problem for me.
So do you have a you tube example where you had a problem.

Re: Pipo P1 and P8 tablets with RK3288
I'm currently on this ROM: http://www.FreakTab.com/showthread.php?p=212330
About an hour with games like Jungle Heat, Asphalt 8 and ordinary YouTube listening makes my tablet very warm. Jungle Heat and YouTube has both crashed and completly shutdown the tablet (black screen).
Zoom around in Google Earth using street view also ends up in black screen. I have one easy way to recreate it. Let me know and I can share the scenario. Anyway, all these issues comes because the above processes makes the tablet too hot. Hopefully it can be improved with some kernal tweaks.

OK Than,
I did again a test and played you tube vidio.
The facts:
My Pipo p1 runs on the rom it came with from the factory.
I played the vidio with the you tube it came from originaly from the factory
Temp overhere 23.7 dgrs
Playing time 1hour 54 minits.
internet speed 60 mb
Played vidio:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEcIsjMC88M
A full concert of the scorpions if you love rock and roll and try this one you are pleased .
Put it manualy to 1080p hd quality before it starts.
Not ones a delay or problem.
The temperature of my Pipo p1 at the right side up to the top a little warm ( NOT HOT)
the tablet was in the cover this did not result in extra heat on my tablet.
Resuming:
Jlunse you flashed another rom in my opinion not a better rom,if possible flash it back to the original and give it another try.
In my opinion your problem is not the hardware but the software you are using right now.
One small detaill if you play this vidio of the scorpions look specialy at the lead singer and the tekst on his head it has to do someting with this isue, just tell me what it states
Kind regards

Not getting another Pipo product again
Pipo dropped the ball bigtime on the Ultra-U6. The lagginess and extremely slow NAND write speed rendered the tab virtually unusable when background processes are working. Aside from that, they never fixed Miracast and GPS. I have since sold my tablet cheap. Sad that Pipo hobbled a perfectly capable hardware platform with terrible half-baked firmware. My inquiries with Anna just led to run arounds which i don't want to deal with anymore. Pipo is in the business of making tablets that tick the most feature boxes. But they are ultimately unusable contrary to what the benchmarks and specs may suggest. The U6 scores 20k in Antutu but my older dual core tablets and phones run smoother and more reliably.
Pipo, when will you ever learn to release stable and market-ready firmware that don't make your customers into beta testers that are always looking forward to a proper fix from your dev team?
I have recently gotten an Asus MeMO Pad 7 with an Intel Bay Trail Z3745 processor. It runs wickedly fast and smooth. A day and night experience compared to the crap Ultra-U6 at the same price point.
Sorry to rant here but i hope Pipo wakes up and steps up the quality of their firmware.
To Pipo, please just focus on delivering properly working firmware and drop efforts in developing fancy useless stuff like your unstable family launcher, etc.

Woof I have one question for you.
What has your posting to do with this PIPO P1 topic??????????
So please post this kind of things there where it belongs.
Or open a topic here at Freaktab about you negative experiance.
I can understand your point of vieuw but this is not the right way to make your point.
Or did you post this in every pipo version topic on this forum what would be even worse.
