Nope, nothing. Irc someone else posted a while ago that it didnt boot for him with the mk908

Just of the top of my head i am guess the boot partition different on purpose or to account for hard limitations do to parts not quite meet spec.

All have to take a look at the stock but if finless did work for you its not impossible just a pain.
Its often something small and stupid with these things that stop them from working.

I have just installed Magnus33's rom with no issues, it works pretty well on my MK908II. It has the same performance on video playback (pretty well with local finals, and some issues with 1080p files over network) as vectorlinux's one, so in general they are also the same but:

1- this rom is overclocked at 1.6ghz out of the box
2- now I have 4gb for apps instead of 1gb
3- it comes with 1080p kernel by default
4- I know antutu is not a good measure, but the score using vectorlinuxs rom (1.4ghz,720p) is 21650, on Magnus33 (1.6ghz/1080p) I get 23700
5- I feel my mele f10 doesn't move as smooth as it should, so I'm going to try with a 720p kernel.

BTW, is this rom using d33's kernel?

I have been running spmc for 1080p playback damn near flawless if you havent tried it give it a shot.

Spmc works quite good on these devices for local play back even with most 1080p.

Problem is though the minute you ask it to stream it tends to become more then it can deal with.
Still i haven't messed much with streaming other then plex which bypasses all the issues with streaming.

That and its no feasible to get 16TB of media onto the stick easily

@ Magnus, Veclinux. Have you managed to get TWRP working with this rom on the mk908ii, i have tried abduls generic and many other ones packaged with various roms with no success, closest i got was seeing spmc splash screen - usually just a black screen / boot loop.

I tested the Finless 2.0 and I had some problems with the sound. In my device I could set only the max volume or mute, it doesn't set the medium volume. In your ROM the sound works very well. There is a problem with my webcam, it doesn't work very well, it is very slow and it crashes everytime, but in the Finless 2.0 the camera is not even detected. I dont use my webcam, it was just a test, so it is not a problem to me.
So only problem I had was the size reserved for applications, that was only 2 Gb, so I unpacked your image and changed it to 4Gb then it is not a problem anymore!

Well I'm at it again. After my successful debut of my Q7 custom rom decided to try on my MK908II transmart tv stick and it works really well. Again I am a rookie at this so try to bear this in mind. This should work on the mk809iii cx919 and other compatible devices with ap6210 wifi. I found a generic kitkat T010 rom on one of the chinese rom sites I monitor, tried it worked like a charm so here it is with my mods:
rooted
custom bootsplash
kernel patch for vsync (not sure if it needed it)
debloated
added wifi analyzer reboot Esexplorer and other useful apps
added wasser-xbmc found in his latest release v1.0.3 (thanks Wasser!)
Few other tweaks I cant remember
So give it a try give me some feed back appreciate it

Hi all,
Tried your great work on my mk908II, Veclinux.
Antutu score is around 18k, while finless 1.6 is around 20k. Both have little glitch 1080@50/60p, no problem @24p.
Scoring apart, still having problem to have a webcam recognized by the system. Any way to solve it? Is it a kernel problem?

Webcams almost never worked on any of the 3188 devices and unfortunaly they got old too fast so it was never a fixed.

Most of the cameras that came out before these devices never had real android drivers so all there is a generic driver which gives you what you see.

No real way to fix it and best you can do is search for cameras that do work.

No demand for it so drivers where never made for them although this seems to be changing for newer chip-sets.

Ps: my Russian terrible.

but.....

I'd like to use location service and I don't know how to turn on.
The skype don't work with hdmi drivers only with external soundcard.
