Basically the same hardware so it should run fine.

I uploaded the drive installer for 8.1 a minute ago so install that and things should flash normally.

Yeah the driver-issue for windows 8.1 seems not to be an issue any longer.

I flashed the 1080p version with Wifi-kernel; kernel_KK_v4.2.2_TVBOX_AP6330_HD even though i have a stick.

Antutu: ~19500
Wi-Fi with router RT-N56U 100/10
2.4ghz: around down:10 mbit/s up:10 mbit/s
5ghz: around the same, though a little slower and i have one bar lower on the signal.

My personal findings is:
I can play 720p and some of my 1080p files over wifi and no stuttering. (But sometimes need to buffer. No wonder with that wifispeed) this is totally new for me with this stick. Feels great to get rid of the stuttering issue.

It "feels" like the audio output is somewhat better. BUT .... .... It seems that something is blocking the sticks fully potential. It is more sluggish in the ui than Finless 2.0

These sticks are limited in there power and what they can do.
Your going to fined that the 720p kernel is the best and smoothest for the UI and playback.

As for wireless it really depends on your setup. (Channel ,Interference,others using it at the same time and so on)
If you wireless has a slow device on it at the same time the wireless often bottlenecks to the speed of that device.

Now the real question what device are you using that actually has 5ghz since nearly all theses tv sticks only have 2.4ghz.

Apps that restart the device

I tried the 1080 version and... when Opening Google Maps and Google Camera the device restarted.
I have a Logitech cam that was working perfectly with the stock ROM.
The Netflix apk that comes with the ROM is not in HD. After updating Netflix the video comes in HD but there is a little delay... the voice comes a little after the image.

I don't see any other problems. Thanks for the work!!

UPDATE: After the last restart when trying to see if the camera worked... the device restarted and it is all the time showing the MBOX icon... but not starting

Other then opening it you can try the various roms for each wifi.

If you dont have the correct wifi it and bluetooh wont work but there no danger its going to blowup

The kernels contain the drivers so you can grab the rom here and then use D33 kernels to try for each chipet.

About the 720p version. Does it have something to do with the tv's resolution, so i can't watch a 1080p movie or is it just about the UI?

5ghz does not work because it's not supported so yeah... beginners. These beginners

My wifi have now dropped to 0.075mbit. My router and wifisetup works just fine on three other units so I just think that the Tronsmart chip stinks. Even my old Boxeebox has no problems. Hehe so friggin irritating to be at step 8 out of 10. Trying to... Reach... Can't.... But i wanna....

No worries whatever you play the tv automatically adjusts to the input from the device.

So 720p or 1080 shall play fine regardless of what the device is set to.
Sadly though with being a small low powered device with the antenna on the inside even the smallest interference messes with these things.

If i move mine to far behind the tv the signal go to crap and i can't play anything.

Last working firmware

First of all... thanks again to @Magnus33 and @veclinux , Thanks!!!!

I'm a little lost at the end... so the last working 1080 firmware is the one you have in here: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=0d673...708A8BC%212426 that is called: firmware_new.img and all we have to do is to flash that one with the RKBatchTool--1.7 (click on RESTORE)... no more things?

Although it can output 1080p its just the UI that's 720p

You flash just as you mentioned and let it boot and set things up.

At anytime after you done so you can flash the HD kernel here and have 1080p.

You can do so with RKDevelopTool_v1.37 by unchecking everything except for kernel then using the tab to the right of the kernel to browse to the D33 one.

Put the device in flash as you normal do to flash and just click the flash button its takes seconds.

These devices are the Ap6210 chipset.

Still the sound seems to be a little after the image and the video in 720 and 1080 the frames jump... the stock firmware shows the video perfecttly so it is not related to the hardware.

I use plex myself to stream since these sticks don't have a lot of room for buffering.

I use it mainly for Netflix and live tv through internet using Hola... but the image has those problems
I didnt have them with the stock version so... mayble ill be go back

Try neo 3.1 with the d33 kernel.

setting VECLINUX KITKAT at 1080p!?!?

This is by far the best firmware for my MK908II.
VasserXBMC shows that the real resolution of this firmware is 720p.
How do you set it to 1080p ??
