I am using the 1080p version that was uploaded, if anyone is interested the CWM "iFive X2 Android 4.4.2 CWM Recovery by ManuPC" works well and I flashed this with arctools.
Veclinux can you provide an 720p version of the kernel or the stock one (so I can tinker) from the rom as the one from d33 causes the system ui to crash.
      Great rom good work!

yes i would also like a 720p version of this kernel, your first rom didnt work very well on my tv, was stuck in low res (720x480) with no sound, my tv only supports upto 1080i, d33 kernels are also stuck in low res on my setup, tried various roms with same result, think its something to do with hdmi requests, your 1080p rom/kernel is the only one i have tried to date that allows me to set 720p with working sound, with this setup i can also see resolutions that my tv does not support(1920x1080), think you must have done something different regarding hdmi . would really like a working 720p kernel as the 1080p one is a bit slower and pointless on my current tv that only supports 720p

Ok all sorted I now have it working with d33 "kernel_KK_v4.20_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD" at 720p I had to edit the build prop dpi to 160 while in 1080p then flash the 720p kernel. this has stopped the systemui from crashing. Antutu now giving score of 19510.
Hope this helps others with old TV like me.
Veclinux can you remember what the original DPI was?

unfortunately for me D33 kernels leave my setup in 720x480 resolution and no sound, the kernel in this 1080p rom is the only one that allows me to set the correct hdmi mode and have working sound, its due to my old 42 in lg hd ready tv im sure as i dont experience this problem when i connect to my pc monitor, dont want to change my tv as it still works perfectly.

I suspect the first version of this rom contained an unmodified 720p kernel embedded in the boot partition and the 1080p version of the rom probably contains d33 1080p kernel, neither working fully for you. Sounds like you need a KK kernal specific to your device hardware then mod with kk perl script and overclockomitic. You will still need to change the DPI to use the 1080P version of this rom which has the traditional layout allowing for custom kernels.
My device is a UG007b can I ask which device you are using?

hi vermillion, my device is a mk908ii, the 1080p version of this rom works fine, have unpacked it using wendal tools and as you said has a kernel in kernel partition and not in boot, when replacing the kernel for d33 720 or 1080 (v4.2) im stuck at 720x480 with no sound (also get system ui crash as you did), this i think is to do with my old tv as on a newer pc monitor(full hd) i dont have the low res problem, what i need is a 720p kernel that handles hdmi like the 1080p version of this rom. 1080p is a bit slower than 720p and is pointless on my tv as it only supports 720p so is downscaled.

Way beyond me , you probably need to ask d33 if he could recompile a kernal with the hdmi handshake you need. hope you get it sorted.

Does this Work on Beelink 908 II?

I am thinking of updating the firmware on my Beelink 908II Android TV Dongle but am not sure if I can use a firmware that is says its for the tronsmart 908II device.

For example, can I use the one from this post on the beelink device?

                        Thanks in advnce

Is this ROM able to overclock? I now have overclocked the CPU, GPU and DDR.
Im not sure, but think the d33 kernels for 3188 are the best, are they included in this ROM?

Yes the 1080p version has the unlocked d33 kernel so the 3188-t models run at 1.6ghz vs the usual 1.4 ghz that you get with most kernels.

                            Cheers,

Thanks, but I have the original non-T version of the RK3188 overclocked to 1.8 and the GPU and DDR to max right now. Can I do this also with this ROM? Can you tell me how I can implement the d33 kernels manually? Which kernels should I use (the old for beta ROMs or the ones for ROMs after April)?

Veclinux please help, your 1080p rom is the only one that works on my mk908ii with my current tv, (see #67) i need a 720p kernel that is not stuck at 720x480, when changing kernels to d33 v4.2 either 720 or 1080 im stuck at 720x480 resolution - (antutu shows 1280x720) and have no sound.
