Very late reply but this ROM works perfect for me. I havent tested it much but for me full 1080p playback in XBMC and with a 1080p kernel is what i need. And that works great!!!

    Thanks a lot!!!

Well I'm at it again. After my successful debut of my Q7 custom rom decided to try on my MK908II transmart tv stick and it works really well. Again I am a rookie at this so try to bear this in mind. This should work on the mk809iii cx919 and other compatible devices with ap6210 wifi. I found a generic kitkat T010 rom on one of the chinese rom sites I monitor, tried it worked like a charm so here it is with my mods:
      rooted
      custom bootsplash
kernel patch for vsync (not sure if it needed it)
      debloated
added wifi analyzer reboot Esexplorer and other useful apps
added wasser-xbmc found in his latest release v1.0.3 (thanks Wasser!)
Few other tweaks I cant remember
So give it a try give me some feed back appreciate it

Tried both 720 and 1080 firmware variants and the 1080p streams from all the 'usual' addons ran with very jerky playback although 720 was smooth. I cross referenced the same conditions with my Q7 on veclinux rom and 1080p runs smoothly as expected. Really wanted this to be the one for my 908ii but it's back to the unstable finless 1.6 for me for the time being!

Great work! This is the first KitKat ROM I found that actually supports a webcam
I tried a Logitech webcam together with IP Webcam and it works, sort of. The image at first was dark, but that can be compensated for in IP Webcam. The connection however is unstable. The image freezes all the time and you have to disconnect the webcam to get access again. Pity, but I was really very enthusiastic at first about this feature

Second thing is that on my MK908II the internet connection is unstable. When I start a Youtube video the progress bar flushes from time to time resulting in sound and image freeze. It picks it up after a few seconds, but it does not work at it should. I noticed that app installation also has some delay. This might be the same issue.

Third thing I noticed is that after a few reboots the stick hung itself up in the boot screen. I had to reflash it to be able to boot again.

All in all a great attempt, but unfortunately too buggy for now to work for me. Keep up the good work, because I really love the work you are doing

solved my no sound and low resolution problem by installing D33 4.22 tv box kernel, even though my device is a tv stick, only difference i think is tv out. now have fast and stable rom at 720p - had to change dpi in build prop to 160 to stop systemui crashing - my problems i think are because of my old tv which is only hd ready, hope this helps anyone in similar situation, just a few problems with rom ive noticed so far - cpuz and google maps causes system reboot, besides that all good -thanks Veclinux.

                portrait mode

Hello! I'm using the "Mk908ll-kk-1080p-vl3" rom and it's really great, but I am having one problem, I am trying to use the BuildProp Editor app to change the device to be in portrait mode and it is not working. I've used BuildProp editor on several other roms and this has worked (options: ro.sf.hwrotation = 0/90/180/270, ro.sf.fakerotation = true, using the finless 2.0 on my mk908ii and the Minix HFW 2.2.3 on my mk808). Obviously standard rotation apps have no effect. Can someone offer me some help with this issue? Thanks!

I have uploaded Version4 of the 1080p version of this rom

                  Hi All,
I have made a new rom for the MK908ll. This rom is based on a new kitkat source that seems more stable and with better sound output. I noticed with the previous version that sound levels seemed to fluctuate from media stream to media stream. Also some people had various problems with video playback (which never happened to me). This rom has the latest d33 kernel which unlocks your 3188-t chip to a full 1.6 ghz great for you gamers out there. The other changes are as follows:
                  custom wallpaper and bootanimation
                  rooted
Added useful apps and deleted marginal apps
no version of xbmc included to many good ones out there your choice
I did include latest spmc in the package so you can side load (which is my favorite at the moment)
there are three kernels in the package that you can flash with androidtool 1.37 (not included) if need be
                  1080p 1.4 ghz
                  720p 1.6 ghz
                  720p stock kernel (1.4 ghz)
I did not make these kernels all credit goes to d33 and smic17394 Thanks guys!
if you decide to use the 720p kernels you will need to edit the build.prop and change the lcd density to 160 or your icons will be huge (its currently at 240 for 1080p mode)
This has been running nicely for me last several weeks so thought I would share.
here is the download link: http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/vec7/a...-Vector-V4.zip
Please leave some feedback like to know if my skills are improving.
also if a forum admin sees this post could you allow editing of the first post in this thread so I have all my versions available at the top of the thread...........thnx Vec

OK guys have at it and let me know how it goes
                  Cheers,

Just tried V4, works nice, although didnt really find anything wrong with v3 besides google maps causing reboot. could do with a bit more app space tho. 1 gig not really enough - would be good if you could package your roms like Finless - flash using flash tool, with different parameters to choose from, could really do with a custom recovery for backup as well. tried generic twrp which previously worked on Finless 2.0 kk roms but didnt fully boot on your v3 or v4 - stuck at splash screen. Many thanks for what you have provided so far, look forward to the next version

You do realize you left app storage at 1 gig which is frankly quite small.

ok I overlooked that made a 4 gig parameter file you can get here:

just flash it with androidtool 1.37

Thanks for the input so far.....................
