Ok randy for your bootanimation copy it to your pc.
Open it (don't extract)
Open the text file
You see 1024 768 15
It must be 1024 600 15.
Save it.
Copy now whole the bootanimation zip too system media again
If you open it correct your zip file.
And you restart your tablet than is the bootscreen correct on your screen

I was just kidding about that anyway since I read a thread a while back that went off on a tangent about boot screens that seemed to go on forever. I figured it was kind of an inside joke. Sorry, Bob. I must have struck a nerve.

can someone help me please i am installing the new beta rom but all im getting is black screen when i tell it to exit recovery on first boos from cwm after flashing

thanx for the reply bay i have done that and all its doing is putting it in to flash mode so rk tool recognises it

gumbo - silly question but have you unplugged the cable before restarting the tab?

If not i'd suggest just doing a reflash - erase idb & go again. Once flash has completed & you go into cwm you should make sure you've unplugged. Don't mean to teach anyone to suck eggs here - just want to make sure

lol no different it booted back to cwm this time i told it to repoot system and then black screen again

wtf??? Weird. Ok, in the rktools you did make sure all relevant check-boxes were checked prior to flashing, didn't you? Making sure the relevant paths were set to the img files? If needs be re-select all of the files locally rather than relying on the paths being set automatically & re-flash again.

Only thing I can think is that somehow the img didn't get in which is why its booting to black

Nope everything is checked off the way it should be in just extracted the whole file again in case it got corrupted ill re download it again in about 10 Mins just in case I have a dodgy download! If I can't get this to work is there anyway I can revert back to stock rom?

Yes - download the stock rom from Arnova's website. Don't use the rktools programme, you'll need rkbatchtool 1.4. You'll only have 1 update.img file. Set your rom in flash mode and once you've loaded the img file press 'restore' rather than 'update'. It will then format, put stock back on & you're set to go.

Make sure your download of Bob's ROM is good. Lately, I've had to download multiple times to get the whole thing.
