Snakekiller, bob, what a Fab team you guys are. So very impressed! Cannot wait for the beta, and the talk of jellybean makes me drool! You guys can do it!

Excited, almost wanna put my tab in flash mode and just wait! Lol

But silly question about the current rom, anyone else noticed it doesn't seem to have a language dictionary? Everything I type just comes up with the red line under, meaning it doesn't recognise the word. Used a ffew different keyboards but had same with stock. Slight aside but any fix welcome, as always!

Good catch! I just looked and the dictionary is missing. So I will add that to BETA 2. Beta 1 will not have that as it is uploading now.

everything flashed ok bob. and works perfect.
i look at the weekend for the camera fix ok.
fingers crossed that i find it.
use you apktool with windows or linux.
if you used with linux what are the commands for decompiling and recompiling ?

ok, some user feedback. Just spent the last 2 hours flashing the system and getting all my apps back. System seemed smooth, etc. However I'm now stuck in a boot loop. Not sure why

I think there's a conflict with something like ad away - which i've never had before. Went to install blocking, it asked to reset, now just stuck on the flashing 'system loading' screen. I've tried a pinhole reset as well but am just stuck. Guess i'm gonna have to do a cwm reload. Dammit!

also, Titanium backup - didn't want to locate the ext sd card.

Right, extra info - just been trying to get into cwm screen (double click, single click whilst holding power button) - just goes straight through to the boot screen & then loop. Now I guess its a pc lined re-flash & restore in order!

ok, think i might have figured it. Re-flashed to be sure from new. But think i made a 'rookie' mistake. I'm thinking that when I did the app restore using TI I forgot to change it from apps & data to apps. Methinks perhaps the bringing back of the data might have hosed it.

Just about to test adaway again - if it reboots ok after first use then I know it was TI, else I reckon we have a conflict with adaway's host file.

Will only post back if I get hosed again! Elsewise i'm off on hols for a week.

Or adaway is not compatible with ICS 4.0.4!
Remember you were on 4.0.3 which is different.

Also they changed how SDcard works once again.
Using the stock file browser you can open internel memory (which is mounted as /sdcard) or open what they call sdcard (which is mounted as /extermal_sd).

APPs do not know about external SD period! They only know /sdcard (which is internal). Putting apps on SD really means you are putting them on internal memory! So please realize that. Erasing idb will erase /sdcard.

However if you really want to move apps to external SD card, this is where ClockWork comes in. You format the external sdcard using CWM and partition it. You will then have a small EXT4 partition called ext-sd. Then use an app called link2sd and it will move APPs to that sd-ext partition. CWM will back that up as part of a CWM backup. I believe TI will also know about this and manage backups there as well. Not sure... I have not tried TI like that yet.

Bob - don't worry, got it sorted. Did reboot after adaway & went straight back in. Pretty sure it was the data import from TI

By the way, I wasn't saying about installing apps to the ext_sd, no point given the room you've provided, but my backup was on the ext_sd, which I was trying to get TI to read.

Seems to me that copying the folder into sd worked fine. Back up on new system, seems great so far.

but have plenty of cwm backups in case anything goes wrong whilst i'm away & need to get a quick save!

Here is how you navagate with TI to get to backup folders on external SD card.

Go to settings, preferences, then select backup folder location.
If no titanium backup folder is on the INTERNAL SD card, then it will list a empty. Either way, you can go to the external SD and pick a folder there.
1) at the bottom press the Android < back soft button. You will see at the top is says /mnt/sdcard
2) Press the back button again. Now it should say at the top /mnt
3) Listed you will see external_sd. Click that.
4) Now just select the Titanium Backup folder on external_sd
5) No click use the current folder button.
6) If it asks you if you want to move backups to here, SELECT NO!

Installed adaway and updated it .
After restart all ok.
Its was not ok with beta 2 with the latest host updates.
After restart i had ts callibrationscreen.
No with this rom its ok

Yes - snakekiller, as I said before it was down to imported data with apps. Just happened after first run with adaway.

All seems good so far

But 2 words for you & bob whilst i'm away on holiday.....Jellybean!! (well one word then!) lol

I just tried porting Jelly Bean AOSP from the Cube ROM I just did. It wont work with a ICS kernel. So Jelly Bean has yet again made some major changes to how it works with a kernel.

So it's not going to happen without recompiling the kernel for SDK 16.
