      you can't use the file manager. it's only to map folders for other xbmc features.
      you need to edit the files from console.

          log into the box and use nano to edit your files. [nano-guide]

            You can copy the file onto a usb drive through file manager on the box, then put the usb drive in your computer and edit the file with notepad ++, Thats probably the simplest way. Then copy the advanced settings back onto the box once edited.

                Sorry, Cant help here mate. Mine comes up in the list on its own. Only thing you can maybe try is;

                Go to system>Appearance>File Lists, and then tick the show hidden files and directories.

                Then, Go to file manager>Add source>Browse to Root file system>Media

                Then if your usb is detected there, add that as the source.

                Let me know how you get on.

                      Silver M8 S

                      Stane,
                      Have you seen this new silver M8 S with a camera? Do you or anybody else know the differences in this box and the regular m8? Will this M8 S run your linux just as well? Also, do you have a good link for your new M8-K200 Linux? Mainly looking for some feedback on this silver box, it is a bit cheaper for some reason.

                                There is test release of beelink mxiii 1gb box which supports realtek 8188 and ap6181 but needs to change permission of init.d file via ssh when on ethernet:

                                chmod +x /etc/init.d/S60wifi
