If something is wrong at your rom (also settings/userdata/cache...), I bet OTA doesn't help, because OTA only patches a really small part of the rom...

          Ethernet connection problem solved?

Last night I powered down the box using the on screen power button. This morning when I powered up, the Ethernet connection was not working again. I switched to wifi and got notice that an update is available. Cool, I accepted the update, it downloaded the update, but failed to install. Tried a couple of more times, then finally read the reason for the failure. "system/build.prop has unexpected content". Bingo, it dawned on me that I had changed my build prop by changing the DPI from 160 to 240. Changed it back to 160, the the update installed correctly.

After the update, my Ethernet connected again. I powered down the box using the on screen power button, and waited a few minutes before powering it up again. This time it connected to the Ethernet. Tried the same thing again, but this time I pulled the power plug and waited a couple of minutes and plugged it back in. Ethernet connected right away. Perhaps this solves the Ethernet not connecting issue.

One thing I have noticed, the lag issue appears to have been resolved. Prior to the update, when I tried to access my Synology NAS, the connection would just sit there for about a minute or so, before it decided what to do. Now, it connects instantly and starts reading from my NAS. I think this problem, is now solved.
            thanks

Correct, OTA did not help. Tried clearing the cache too.

Outside of the US, where it is prohibited, wireless channels 12 and 13 can be used and I wondered if anybody could confirm that they were able to connect to these channels (router settings being available of course).

It seems Ethernet is fine...up to 100Mbps..

According wifi,I think you can test more period time, such as 60s? then see the result..

after that small OTA update Wifi performance gone down very badly ... It was amazing but now on 2.4ghz speed gone down to average 30-35mbps from 50-60mbps , on top of that sometimes it goes really down around 6-7mbps!

I am having a similar experience. My Beelink runs at half the download speed when compared to the Tronsmart - I am placing it on exactly the same spot using the same router connection etc to get exactly the same external environment (i.e. proximity of other emitters, multi-path reflections etc). Maybe oman could guide us with some specifics to look into this once the audio pass through issue has been solved.

I'm now having some significant wifi issues. Speedtest won't run when I'm on 5 ghz. I used to get 35 mbps download and 12 mbps upload. On 2.4 ghz, it runs, but speed is down quite a bit. I used to get 15 mbps download and 9 mbps upload. Now I get 6 mbps download and 9 mbps upload.

Signal levels on the R89 are weaker than the S89 now, too. On the R89, I get -77dbm on 5 ghz and -56 dbm on 2.4 ghz. On the S89, I get -58 dbm on 5ghz and -46 dbm on 2.4 ghz.

The router is a Netgear R7000. Nothing has changed with it.

I'm not sure exactly when the wifi issues began, but it seems to have been around the last couple of updates for the R89. Wifi used to be faster than the S89. I'm now on 109 firmware.

                            Anyone else having issues recently?

Your test kernel seems to have fixed it for me. My keyboard works now, thanks!

I believe I'm seeing some wifi issues (->drops) now, though. I'll have to monitor it for a bit to see if it's related to BT being active or not.
