Ehernet Problem
In general, my R89 is working well but my Ethernet is not working properly. The WiFi works great but I moved it near a gigabit switch and thought I would do better with hardwire network.
What I have seen so far is the box crashes after 5 minutes or so when Ethernet is plugged in and enabled. This is with WiFi disabled as well. The Ethernet MAC address changes after each crash as well. Pretty strange.
I saw that some have mentioned issues but it did not seem that the issues have been addressed yet. Seems like the WiFi working so well has lowered the importance of fixing the Ethernet issue.
I'm on the latest (I believe) stock firmware 110K4
Thanks for any help...Brad

I only know iperf which should also work at wifi and also at 5GHz (why not?)
and there also exists OOKLA

wifi link speen
Hi guys,
I have done a little experimenting, and found that if I move the device during heavy wifi usage (like speedtest), it kills the reception. I mean move, like you turn it over to plug in an USB for example and place it back to the same place.
The wifi link speed is 150 mbps at the beginning (although pass-through is only ~40 mbits), and it drops to 13 mbps (resulting very slow connection). My issue is that the android box does not increase link speed back to 150 (unlike mobile devices when you come closer to router it gets faster). I need to reconnect to wifi to get fast connection again. I experienced this in stock, Finless and Wasser roms.
Does anyone has similar experience? Is my device hardware/wifi faulty? The worst I can think of is bad soldering of wifi antenna or something like that which affects the performance when I move/turn the device...but I dont know, help please!Beelink R89 PCB V3.0

BTW,if you reboot the box after moving closer, how about the result?Easy way to catch LOG -> Search 'Syslog' in Google Play, then install it and catch log

I wonder if it'll be better within 5G channel ..
Or does anyone else have such problem?Easy way to catch LOG -> Search 'Syslog' in Google Play, then install it and catch log

Wait, "wifi analyzer cannot see any channels on 5 Ghz. ... My router is 2.4 Ghz only", how do you want to test 5GHz without a 5GHz network? Are you sure there exist any 5GHz network around you?

5 ghz analyzer

Got to Fluke Networks. They have a trial download of Airmagnet that will analyze both bands. I was able to see what channels of 5 ghz are being used in my neighborhood and choose an empty one on my router.

Please make it possible to enable wifi and ethernet at the same time.
Currently, when you enable both, the stock-Android will disable the non-preferred connection after a certain time (~2minutes). There is a discussion on the stackoverflow forum on how to work around this, here. Please implement this in your Rom. The Beelink devices are TV boxes and not mobile devices. There is no need to save battery or watch cellular data plans.
Thanks!
