I have the following issue, after the upgrade of the firmware the device is marked on the google play as china mobile, as results of that I am not able to download some application, can I do something to change that or I have to re=run the procedure for modification the framework.jar

Markey enabler will work. My next ROM release I will do the china moble mod. I did not know about this issue and this does not happen on tablets for some reason. So next version will have this fix.

Also guess what guys! I just got a working ClockWork mod going today

Now remember this! By installing CWM, you will not be able to update from sdcard using the stock update.img! But you will have CWM!

Market Enabler or any benchmark app reboot the stick. It's was that way with stock and same with this rom. Any idea? quite annoying.

Finally figure out my problem, it's the power. After using an external battery, the stick no longer crashes.

thank you for the ROM, would it be possible to bake in a way to shutdown the ug802?

i am current using rebooter app, however, the unit automatically reboots after few seconds once its shutdown.

jwz, I am sorry man but I cannot dfix this. It is a hardware thing. Because this device has no battery, it cannot be shut off from software. As long as it is powered, it will boot back up. Thatis the way it is for now.

I wish too to solve this issue but for now I cannot.

why not just get an wall plug adapter with on off switch you get at the dollar store?
You can even get one with a remote for around 7-10 dollars online.

the problem is more to do with the protential OS/app corruption if the device is not shutdown properly

As for the flash player. That thing ticks me off. Sometimes after a ROM flash when you open the browser for the first time it will install OK and you will even see the message that it is installing. Other times it does not. The BEST way is for me to remove it as a system APP and you guys just install it as a user APP. This always works!

I also found that your Flash version 11.1.115.17 as a system app does not allow to be removed. This is in conflict with web browsers that support streaming flash content. Flash version 11.1.115.11 is the last version that allows for this. Normally you would go into flash browser mobile setting manager and allow for local storage. Without this all flash loaded videos will not play. It just asks for flash player to be installed. But your system app of flash does not work and can't be over written. The UG802 with the newer Flash version 11.1.115.17 gives you a blank black screen when typing in the setting address. setting.adobe.com/flashplayer/mobile/

In the older Flash version 11.1.115.11 this menu pulls up... (see pic) and allows for streaming flash content from web browsers. Adobe is cutting the Flash plug-in support cord and this version is the last working version. Please remove the pre loaded Flash version from System Apps to allow users a fix. Thanks



Also audio and video sync are way off in this ROM as others have mentioned.
Not sure why but it been their from the beginning with UG802s.
But have noticed it being worse with this ROM.

aaaa i have bad karma with my device yesterday i receive it, and first i want to put Finless ROM on it, i
do everything in txt file.
1.put the ug802 into flash
2.Driver install
and stop on this step from readme.txtž

i reboot my pc and when pluging ug802 out i broke micro usb connector
today i was in electronic store, and they succed to fix only power connections but not
data connection on my micro usb connector on ug802, so what i want to ask
is it possible now to connect ug802 on power adaptor with micro usb (hope that power is working)
and finnished with puting custom rom connecting my pc with usb2 connection ?
so i have pc, pc is conected with normal usb and ug802, and power is comming from power adaptor connected with micro usb on Ug802

im currently running ubuntu is there any special instructions on getting this to work or will i need to find a windows based computer to get this to work. i suppose i could search for a how to guide for something else and go off of that i was just looking to see if you had a write up thanks.

What do you mean it cannot be removed? I can remove it. Using ES file explorer make sure you mount system as RW, show hidden files, enable root expolrer, and just delete it from /system/app/! Then go into /data/app and delete it here as well. Finally go into dalvic-cache and delete the cache folder. Then I took the same version and just installed it as a user APP. When I did this, that website and screen does work. You go into APP drawer and click on flash and it opens the stock web browser and that screen (web page) now works.

ivana, I do not know if data can work over the other USB port.... I can try later when I get home from work.

is it possiable to upgrade android version to 4.1 as an example?
or is this machine inteded to work only on 4.0.4??
