First of all can I say a huge thank you to Finless for the work he's done. I followed his guide and after 2 rather frustrating hours eventually managed to root my little device. I'm from the UK and the Play store still didn't let me access certain UK-specific things so I used Market Enabler and that seems to have done the trick.
I do have a problem with Flash Player, and I know it's been mentioned here but I don't understand how I'm meant to fix it. Something about preventing it from running as a system app but it works as a regular app?
Whenever I try to download an update to iPlayer it fails (whether I try through the Play store or download an apk). Would someone be able to give me a step by step guide, please?
Finally, I managed to prise my case apart in the hopes of fixing the poor wifi performance. Here are a couple of photos:
Does that look reasonably ok? Presumably if I just cut a small hole in the case and poke the antennae out then I should have better wifi performance? What do I do with the big silver square?

I just had the same issue. My laptop was running W7 and no matter what I could not go pass that stage. Tried again with a different laptop, now running good old XP, and it came with no hassel.
Hope it would work for you as well.

My UG802 Wi-Fi issue solved!
I've tried every ROM available but still with LITTLE or NO Wi-Fi reception, & then it came to my mind of using another "AC to USB Adapter", ditched the one it came with the UG802 and man...I have full bars with blue color (Wi-Fi Indicator) on the lower right corner of the screen now! Awesome! Yes, I did the Wi-Fi antenna mod by Finless...thanks a lot.

Thanks for the rom! I did the sd method because im a noob at this sort of stuff.
Fortunately my wifi is responding/receiving very well, I did however plan on using a usb 2.0 ethernet cord simply because my mac wifi router is so close by.
When I go to ethernet settings and switch it on, it immediately switches off. Any ideas on how to get this thing working with my ethernet adapter? Thanks guys

Re: ug802 Android mini PC TV Player - Finless ROM 1.4 Custom ROM
I found another issue with this ROM. I used Market enabler to allow me to spoof the country and access all the apps in the Play store. I can also rent movies from the Plat store too. However when I attempt to play the movie using Google Movies app, it will not play and gives the error message "There was aproblem with the network (400)". I think that means the Google Movies app has not been spoofed by Market enabler.
I also tried deadhp1's ROM which has the Google Play fix built-in, with the same results. So it appears the fix only fixes the Play store, not the Movies app.

Help needed
Than you Finless for your hard work and making this device awesome for us.
Question:
I installed an app from an Italian Tv Channel (something like HBO GO).
To install I had to change the lcd density to 120 (I used build prop and changed ro.sf.lcd_density to 120).
The app installed correctly and it opens up, however I have a problem:
it tells me that connection to external tv/monitors are not supported by the app.
Basically, it thinks that the TV connected through HDMI is an external monitor (imagine an MHL connection between your phone and your tv) and the app does not accept that.
I obviously cannot change the app, but is there any way to tell the firmware that I am not connecting to an external monitor - change the settings so it recognizes the tv as the only possible output?
Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Audio Delay
Firstly thanks Finless and everyone who has help fix this devices issues so we can enjoy a bit more.
Many people have noted that the audio delay appears to be 200ms. Could we not put a delay command in there somewhere? I.e instead of trying to find the root of the problem and fix the problem, just apply a solution straight to fix the issue.

While watching a .avi movie on the mx player app in the top right hand corner I changed the decoder setting to S/W audio
This helped quite a bit with audio sync'ing correctly to the video in this app. These aren't 1080p vids though, they are dvdrip quality. Still, if this setting helped the problem maybe its a clue to figuring this out, youtube vids still out of sync for me.
