Only way I can get system files is through ES File Explorer. Thats how I downloaded the framework file. Then I tried tu upload it that way but it did refuse overwrite the original one. Is it because I did the "easy update". Does the "easy way" it root the system? What do I do wrong?
thanks
Make sure you tick connect to pc. Not sure if you need usb debugging on or off.

I have a good 2 amp power supply and it never restarts.
It does restart or go completely blank when using the power from a usb port.

Its nice to see a custom rom being cooked up, but I have a few questions:
1. What is the number one reason for people to switch to this rom, is the generic rom not sufficient ? When reading the board I noticed a lot of people having to manually delete/downgrade stuff (market app/youtube app, etc.) in order to get things working properly.
2. Is there an easy and surefire way to revert back to the original rom, if I decide this rom is too high maintenance for me ? (the original rom pretty much works out of the box for me)
For the people that have a/v sync issues: it may be good to know the latest xbmc for android works pretty neat. Still a lot of work to be done on hardware acceleration, but as of this moment I can stream a (max!) 4gig 720p mkv file via smb without any hassles (any larger file or 1080p still stutters a lot, but I expect there will be performance improvements in the near future as the project just started).
The nice thing about xbmc is that you can accurately configure the audio offset, including for plugins like youtube (and a lot of others off course)Last edited by harryharryharry; 09 October 2012, 18:30.

There are actually 2 versions; neon and non-neon, and I don't really know the difference (something to do with hardware support), both versions are working for me, and i see no noticeable difference in performance...

Please explane this in detail.
Originally posted by Finless View PostWhat do you mean it cannot be removed? I can remove it. Using ES file explorer make sure you mount system as RW, show hidden files, enable root expolrer, and just delete it from /system/app/! Then go into /data/app and delete it here as well. Finally go into dalvic-cache and delete the cache folder. Then I took the same version and just installed it as a user APP. When I did this, that website and screen does work. You go into APP drawer and click on flash and it opens the stock web browser and that screen (web page) now works.
ivana, I do not know if data can work over the other USB port.... I can try later when I get home from work.
Not sure the question about Ubuntu?
Bob
1. Delete it from /system/app (OK)
2. Delete it from /data/app (OK)
3. Delete dalvic-cache (where what?)
4. Then I took the same version.. From where? and what version?
I'm sorry for the NOOB questions but i just need someone to in detail tell me how to install a working flash player. thanks.

Here you go. You've done everything, just download this, copy to your device (anywhere), and install using ES explorer (or any file explorer) by clicking on it. Reboot and that's it.

UG802 Flash with MK808 Jelly Bean

Yes this ROM has uinput. I have not used droidmote but I have used VNC, etc.
To make sure you uinput module is working, download a terminal emulator for the market
run it
type su at prompt
now type lsmod
This will list all KO modules installed and running.
cambel, when you login to this site at the top click the box "keep me logged in" you should have no problem downloading then.
Be back soon all.
Bob
I'm new in the forum, but I managed to flash the MK808 Android 4.1.1 JB Rom found here: http://www.armtvtech.com/roms/mk808_rooted_JB_update.rar or http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechfo....php?f=13&t=53 (Already rooted)
with the Rockchip Batch Tool v1.5. The UG802 is able to boot this ROM, and I (think) the processor runs at 1.6 GHz, which makes a better experience. I know that the wifi is not working probably due to non compatible drivers. I was able to connect an ethernet/usb hub to connect to the internet. On your release of Jelly Bean, could you beside fixing the WiFi issue look in to adding the uinput drivers from ICS to the kernel? I also CWM the device, and my wireless keyboard only worked once when I first booted to recovery. I tried to reboot to recovery again, and it doesn't work. Your help and involvement in making this device software better is greatly appreciated.
Thank You!!
Frezab

I dont understand the issue with uinput?
I used VNC to the 802 from my tablet and it works which means uinput must be there. I have not purchased droidmote so maybe some issue there I do not know.
As for the other stuff, I will be working on this stuff this week time permitting. Hang in there please.
