Please see this new REBOOT APP.... you can install it and now it gives the option to reboot bootloader!

MUCH EASIER! I will include it in my next ROM.

Anyway our APP Dev here Petrus made it based on feedback on this forum and this device not easy to boot into loader!

Download it here from FreakTab and install it. NOW NO hassles getting into flash mode. Point and click

    Thanks Petrus!

Can you tell us if either the new ICS or JB rom will have 1080p support, and if they still suffer from the a/v sync issues ? Those would be my two main concerns...

I agree. Flash is dead and I am fine with leaving the unit on. I just want it to perform at the level advertised.

          CWM on UG802?

came across this - not sure if its any good:
Christian Troy has been able to bring CWM to RK3066 devices. I'm laying a How-To here, but I don't guarantee that CWM will work flawlessly or as intended. I just used these steps to install it on my tablet, and they worked, You need the update.img with the ROM you're using in your tablet...

Think like a lot here just hanging out for XMBC to do hardware decoding :-(...

Anyone been able to get the iPazzPort front panel working in androind is annoying using the full qwerty keyboard.

              Hey Bob,
              Here is my 2 cents...
I'm all for giving people the option of using the stock Flash player app. BUT please do not bake it in as a system app that is non removable. Provide users with the option of a standard uninstall / install app is much more user friendly and less headache to remove if needed. As for 1gb or 2gb app space, user selectable sounds good.

Also mentioned by others is the A/V sync issue. Is this fixable? What is your opinion on this bug? Could a kernel source from another RK3066 device like a tablet be a possible fix. I know their are a lot of requests that go into your ROMs. Just wanted to say thanks for supporting this device.

For all those who want to use the Flash plug-in for web sites ect... try using Dolphin web browser. The new chrome browser does not support flash. The new Firefox web browser does support flash but is buggy and is slow with flash loading. Hopefully Firefox will fix it with future updates.

                Hi Bob.
I would love it if you included Button Savior and an app to hide the bar permanently.
Maybe you could add the SuperCharger v6 you were talking about as well. I looked into it and it sounded really good.

I can make a new boot animation and mouse cursor I you want to!?

                  Hi Bob,

I've had a look through this thread and could not find the answer to my issue, apologies if this has already been answered. After inserting the SD card containing the update.img and rebooting the device it goes into Android System Recovery and is waiting for me to select an option. I get the following errors

                  find and check firmware...
E: failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such file or directory)
                  E: Can't mount /mnt/external_sd/update.img
can not found firmware image or invalid image
                  Installation aborted

                  What am I doing wrong?

                  Thanks in advance

+1 on this. If an app is available on Play Store, then there is no need to bake it into the rom. Users can install whatever apps they wish to. The only issue I have is the A/V sync problem, which makes it pretty much unusable as a video streaming device (except for Netflix). But I guess we must wait and see if JB fixes this issue.

Read about 10 posts up or so. Guy had the same problem. Check that your SDcard is not corrupt!

HideBar or Status Bar Toglgle do not hide the status bar (time and buttons)

Hi, is there a new way of hiding the bar like the built-in apps do? I wrote Status Bar Toggle to switch on and off the status bar on just about any rooted device except this one? Any special trick? the UI has another name I should be terminating?

EDIT: Does installing Busybox from console break SuperSU? Any way of rooting again if I did this? (i.e. an update.img that only has su? Every time I try to run SU i get invalid username "root"

BTW, these uints come with a weak microusb, my suggestion is open them, and apply more solder to the port, even crazy glue it, I had 2 of these break and only way I got them to work was using Male A to Male A on a USB hub that allowed power thorugh the USB cable and needs a good power source 5v 2amps (most TV's have this power and my Mac has this power) but some PC's and TV's don't... Just a warning...

And only way to update and root is via UPDATE.IMG so think twice before flashing a recovery that renders this...

                              This is incorrect.

You can update (flash a ROM) not using update.img. Download my ROM kit and I give you the tools and instructions for how to flash the ROM from a PC which gives us more power than update.img. Like making more user APP space, etc. and flashing a ROM after replacing recovery with CWM.

Where is your toggle APP and I will see if it works.
