I've followed the instructions but my computer doesn't get the "bong". It doesn't even react to me inserting the USB to it. I had several problems flashing my other rk3066 items. It simply doesn't work. I have no idea what's wrong with what I am doing. No noob to this whole flashing rom's business.

Tun.ko module?
Hi Bob, great rom, much better than the stock! One question - I need tun.ko to use VPN to my work with this UG802 build. Do you have a tun.ko build? I tried "tun.ko installer" app which has a database of them and it didn't find a compatible one? ThanksComment

I am kind of facing the same problem. With my UG802 the tun.ko installer does find a compatible tun.ko file when I try a few times (although it initially also didn´t find a compatible one). However when I try to use the module via the "openvpn for android" app, the stick freezes and/or reboots every time the app tries to access the module.Originally posted by cydergoth View Post

Keyboard is quite good, not perfect but usable. The mouse pointer sometimes, often, loose alignment and to move the pointer i have to rotate the device 20° on the right.Originally posted by valcs View Post

With Finless 1.4 ROM I use Droidmote, although it is very laggy. Sometimes I use wireless mouse, and sometimes the airmouse. I am getting used to the airmouse, but I agree it is pretty bad. you probably installed the Finless Rom 1.4 the "easy way". If so, you have to root your UG802 and apply the store fix. There is plenty about it in this thread, but basically the UG802 thinks that you are in China and does not show you the apps for your region. You have to change the "cell provider code". Or you can wait for the final Finless ROM 1.5. I think it is going to have the storefix already built in.Originally posted by maxxxy View PostComment

I've upgraded to this rom in hopes that some tablet apps will finally work on the ug802, unfortunately they still do not work. the tablet versions of sunday ticket and slingplayer do not work. with both apps they start and do not FC but when they are to play video the circle just spins and spins and video never stops. the phone versions of both apps work but these tablet versions will not.
any idea why these apps will not work on the ug802. really sucks because these apps are the only reason i bought the device.Comment

Unable to install Storage-Drivers required for PC-Flashing
as mentioned above i can't install required drivers for Win XP.
i repeated all the steps are written in the "manual" which is included the Firmware several times.
The message unknow USB-Device pops up, but if i select the Driver included the Firmware-Archive i get a message "no Hardware-Information found" and my unknown USB-Device stays as an unknown USB-Device.
In WinXp it is shown as RK30SDK
By the way i have already installed Firmware 1.4 using SD-Card-Method.
i hope there are not so many mistakes written
