UPDATE 10_27! - ug802 Android mini PC TV Player - Finless ROM 1.4a Custom ROM

My 1.5 ROM will have flash removed completely. This will allow you to install any version you need!
It will have the China mobile fix as promised.

Now I may have some of you BETA test some fixes I would like to try for the video sync issues.
So expect this to be a BETA ROM to start.

Mx player can play videos without audio sync problems. There is a setting that says audio hardware decoder. Unselect that option and Mx player player plays videos without the audio sync problem.

thx for the hint, but no real option when using a native video app like youtube, streaming flash and the list goes on... nor am i willed to set a sync delay in a special media app. what a mess! ...but its cool for broken video material to fix temp, no doubt about that. :-)

When you guys are using youtube are you using the browser based youtube (this is what the default limited launcher uses when you click youtube at the bottom) or are you running the youtube APP that is in the APPs drawer (you can only get to this using the standard ICS launcher I added in my ROM)?

I just flashed this ROM and it works!
This might be the update we all are hoping for
Even though it says it is for the ug802 PLUS, everything seems to work OK on my ug802.....

Here is the build info:

Kernel is Sept 14

In fact I own an IBEX UG802+. I think that the 2 devices difference is mainly due to the kind of wifi antenna, so I think there is no other hardware changes.

The "new not so new" UG802+ ROM is very similar to the UG802 ROM.

A/V is still out of sync, I've been using it since it was released.

OK well..... I am going to use it for my 1.5 rom.

But first I want you guys to test some things I have done with codecs and decoders to see if it dfixes the sync issues.

I will make a 1.5 ROM "basic" edition that will not have any changes trying to fix video sync. It will be rooted, both launchers will be available (stock ICS launcher and the built in launcher the unit comes with), it will have GPlay fixes, no flash player will be pre-installed, debloated of useless apps, etc.

Then for people having sync issues I am going to make a BETA ROM for testing.

thats great, though i'm feeling guilty for putting you to more trouble, for the record for those having sync issues i have always used mx player and don't seem to have to fiddle with the s/w decoding either,

Dave, does this new ROM also have the GPlay issues with China mobile stuff? In other words do I need to patch services.jar like the old ROM?
