Ok I understand that. So pulling the power plug out is the only solution? And what about what MetalKettle said about librtmp? Is there a way to update that?

Only at source or decompressing SYSTEM replacing the librtmp.so then re squashfs'ing I think.

It seems for now the only solution is to pull the power plug. I think librtmp is not the case here.

Maybe not for the power issue but could be for the live streams?

First of all not all live streams come use RTMP protocol. For example no one of my 300+ live tv channels use RTMP protocol, but HTTP + MPEG-TS.

I know that. But throwing it out there as Al said only some and he mentions rtmp. Apologies.

I'll also add support for HEVC (H265) hardware accelerated video decoding and HDMI CEC soon.

The stock remote is very limited.

Just did a little test, well actually happened by accident :-)

I picked a channel that I knew wouldn't play and would just keep spinning saying working. After 30 seconds I stopped the xbmc from spinning then the channel froze up. Then I hit the power off button on the remote. What I found was after 90 seconds the box actually shuts off, I didn't have to pull the plug. So maybe there's away to change that 90 seconds to make it shut down sooner.

Have you tried to adjust these settings in advancedsettings.xml?

Is that just for the live channel and also to cut the 90 seconds down from when the power button is pressed?

I tried the curlclienttimeout on the gbox before but that didn't work. I'll give them both a try on this box when I get up. Have to get some sleep, it's 8am here and I still haven't slept yet. :-)
