have you tried flashing it without nic connected then when it gets to the network setup wizard plug LAN in
Could be a router problem not dishing out an ip could be a bind error try reboot router
is this the only box? Maybe a MAC address issue

It is all working... except those 2 factors
1 - 10/100 only on network not 1000
2 - Sound is hit and miss. Pass through is causing issues on some. The problem is occurring when playing back a high def file with dts/ac3 sound.
I don't know if this is meant for a 802....805...or whatever. The fact is that it is performing brilliantly (much snappier than android) - along with the fact I can set the resolution to adjust to match the file played.
Any ideas?

Who knows how to solve this?
Got to link https://wiki.matricom.net/i/MX2 and scroll down until you see Bootloop and download Bootloop recovery file it's highlighted in blue.
Unzip it after it's downloaded. Take the two files ( recovery.img and u-boot.bin ) and but them on a blank sdcard
Also download firmware 1.1.6 from here https://wiki.matricom.net/i/MX2_Firmware
Unzip the download also and but the three files on a blank sdcard. You can use the same sdcard as you did with the bootloop files but make use you delete them from the sdcard before you put the three files from 1.1.6. I have two sdcards.
Boot into recovery with no sdcard installed and do a couple data wipe/factory reset wipes then turn the box off.
But the bootloop sdcard in the box and do the toothpick method and after it boots into recovery pull the power cord out of the box.
Next put the sdcard in your box and do the tooth pick method again. And when you get to the welcome screen make sure you keep clicking ok until you get to the screen with 3d launcher, laucher and xbmx. Choose laucher and just once. Got to settings and unmount your sdcard. Turn your box off and boot into recovery again with no sdcard installed
When in recovery do a couple data wipe/factory resets and a couple cache wipes. Put your sdcard in the box with openelec on it, got to ext - sdcard and install openelec. If see two openelec files after you choose sdcard. Make sure you install the one without the .... in front of it. After it installs do a couple more data wipe/factory resets, a couple cache wipes and reboot. Don't turn the box off just reboot.

I was sure I was seeing it running at 1000 on a switch... clearly the switch was set to 1000 and it was not the device.
the 2nd issue is still hit and miss.....sound works on some files....and not on others.
However, on a android version (native/stock) the file plays ok under kodi.

How is the remote working? Does that device have OTG capability?

The Remote is working OK (Sumvision Airplay one) the built in/supplied one... is useless
I have heard that flashing the original android bootrom will provide that to work again properly... but as yet....not done so. (but I do feel fruity....and may JFDI)
I would like to know when the official 805 release will be coming... (so We can all flash a rom that is bang on and made for it...rather than reliant on one persons efforts (which is unfair on putting this all on one person)

Cannot install transmission service
Dear codesnake!
I installed OpenELEC on my M8 tv box from here:
It works fine, but I wanted to install transmission torrent service on it. I tried to do that from unofficial repository add-on, but the list is empty, tried to refresh and update the repository using context menu, restart OpenELEC, nothing helped. I even tried to download the add-on from here:
but the OpenELEC says that there is wrong structure or something like this ...
Please help to resolve the repository issue or send me .zip file with transmission service addon to install manually (including all dependencies).
Thank you!
Update: OK, finally installed the transmission service addon v4.1.1 from .zip file, but now it does not start (cannot connect to port 9091). The Launch button in addon config is not active. What's wrong? How can I start it?
/Tepp

Just tried putting the Gotham build on a new M8 box for a family member. All went as normal, but this time I can't change the output resolution from 1280x720. The options are greyed out.
Any help on this? Do I need to flash back to an Android ROM and change it to 1920x1080 before flashing codesnake's OpenELEC ROM?

Can any body advise if there is a Openelec version for the Android M6 dual core box.
Something like this http://www.****.co.uk/itm/NEW-M6-AND...-/231399801179
I have been given one to fix by a friend and was wondering if a Linux version was available. Can I assume any of the dual core versions would work.
Thanks
