[ROM] OpenELEC for Amlogic-based TV boxes (M8, MXQ, TV110, MX2/G18)

Hi All,Just found this site,I have a old MX black box,model MBX reference board (g18ref) can I install this openelec on this box .If so what version works best and how do I go about to install? Sorry I am a Noob.
Hope someone replies with the info I need.
If I have left any info needed to help me correctly install openelec on the MX Box please tell me I will add it.

Hard to tell for sure without even seeing the box, but if it is G81REF then I think the builds for MX2 should work.

In Kodi system info Amlogic Meson6 g02 customer platforem,, Mali-400 mp .Plus what I have listed the rest what I see in about mediabox.
How do I install openelecI 6 copied the 3 files from the zip to a sd card and booted into recovery but nothing happened ,just recovery mode tried from sd card and nothing there.
Please help tell me how to install openelec.?

I tried formating the sd card with fat and its starting now,ex-fat would not work,its installed ok but now wont boot up just the red light on remote wont turn it on.
What can I do?

Can anyone help.why has this happened I downloaded the correct version for my MX g18ref box,why did it install all the way then shut down and not start.

This means that your box is most likely not compatible. If you still can enter the recovery, then you should be able to reflash the original firmware, if you have it.

It wont go into recovery anymore,it will not start ,the red light at the front is on but nothing on the screen.I dont have the original firmware,How can I get this fixed and get Android installed again?

Without having original Android firmware you can't do that in any way.

I found the original stock firmware for my mx box ,could you please tell me how I can get the box to bootup now as it does nothing and shows nnothing on the screen.
PLEASE HELP ASAP/

I searched for quite sometime on this thread for a release of openelec for the M8s boxes with s812 proc. I found one at http://www.amlinux.ru/image/ and found a way to boot into TWRP (TWRP 2.8.5.0 MXIII Plus) on my box (Element Ti4) I haven't found the instructions on how to actually flash the image and any considerations that need to be made. I'm assuming, from my Android rom flashing days, that I just select the .zip that I wish to install. Is there anything else to consider?

Ah! I looked so long then just tried the "http://www.amlinux.ru/image/6.0.0/OpenELEC-Amlogic.arm-M8S-6.0.0-update.zip" directly from TWRP, and I successfully loaded 6.0 on my Element Ti4 which is an M8s based box with a S812 proc.

Guys, I think I got a mistake buying the M8 2G, it seems that is a new M8 4K, new model. It has an openelec?
