And in this case, will your rom work ( using original resoruce, kernel and boot.img as always) work with other board like firefly?

    thanks
Yes, will work with other boxes.
Ext4, don't know? System.img is ext4. Userdata partition is created on boot, don't know what filesystem it is or how to change it.

It is dual-boot system but will provide different partition files for users that don't want dual-boot.

Having difficulty making single partition for ROM.
Apps complain about external storage, user.img not present and nand is not mounted.
      If someone can help?
Will test 2 other possibilities to try to get it working.

New ROM is finished but new SPMC was just released and I will include it in the ROM.
So will upload it a day later to also include latest SPMC.

See files get deleted after 90 days, mediafire and firedrive(not working anymore) files don't get deleted. Also with 500mb limit, will have to split ROM's in 2 if they are bigger.

Other file hosts with folder, password protected folder, user access rights, one time links support etc.
Looking for a host with that features also, but free.
How about MEGAdrive https://mega.co.nz Sort of like dropbox with built in download manager.. Support for windows, and android (Mac? I dunno)

            Cheers,

Maybe try flashing the kernel & resource.img from the other ROM with this ROM.
Then it might create that file. That file is probably created from the kernel writing it to the EMMC storage.

                    4k @ 60Hz with HDMI-In

According to Ugoos support the UT3 with its HDMI-In causes HDMI-Out to only function at 4K @ 30Hz, is this still the case with this ROM? Support's English wasn't perfect so I could have misunderstood.

hello, steveboroughs(junior member) i have the hph rk3288 rom v.1.2 by mo123 instaled on my rikomagic mk902 II and i have no problems with 4k 60hz. I have the lg 55ub850v but hdmi door nº1(2.0hdcp2.2) do not have 4k 60hz and the hdmi nº3(10 bits) can do 4k/60hz but do not ask me why? i do not anser you. so you have to try all of your hdmi ports. i thought hdmi 2.0 (hdcp 2.2) was the only door leading 4k 60hz but I was wrong

Does your device have an HDMI-In port like the Ugoos UT3?

Yes the HPH also has an HDMI-In and uses the same board as the first Ugoos UT3 without a fan.
To use the 2nd version of Ugoos UT3 with a fan, you will need to find the driver/name to make the fan fully compatible with a custom kernel. Maybe open the device and post the make of the fan if possible or ask Ugoos.

PS: Only custom kernel with working HDMI IN.

Copy following file for HDMI CEC to system/usr/keylayout and to make D-Pad buttons work.

                              XBMC
Install 'XBMC Backup' from Program addons.
Setup backup directory to where you copied XBMC backup zip.
                              Restore backup.
Will take a while and need to restart XBMC/SPMC, say 'yes' to prompt that a different XBMC was used to make the backup.

I am working on a Tronsmart r28 for a customer and decided that this ROM would be the be the best option at the moment. First I followed Bob's tutorial in the ROM dump package and dumped everything from the original ROM.

After that I flashed the v1.2 ROM as-is except for I used the kernel provided in the quote above. This worked, except that the remote did not work. So I downloaded the 110k4 ROM from Tronsmart's website and unpacked with the 2.3 tool. Next I replaced the RK3288Loader_uboot_V2.15.bin with the RK3288Loader_uboot_V2.15.02.bin from the unpacked 110K4 (probably doesn't matter, but I swapped them anyway), and I also replaced the parameter file with the 8GB one linked in the first post. Then I replaced the resource.img, boot.img, and misc.img with the ones that I unpacked and ran the mkupdate.bat. Still using the above kernel.img when I packed it.

I flashed the resulting update.img via upgrade in the 2.3 tool and now the remote works properly. Everything looks good so far. Haven't gotten around to testing CEC yet.

I have 2 questions @mo123. First, do you think that I could reflash your boot.img and get back your tweaks and keep the remote working? Second, The last link quoted above, is it just XBMC/SPMC plugins or are there some upgrades in there, too?

Oh, one more quick question (might be a dumb one?). How can I get the onscreen keyboard to go away while using a bluetooth or USB keyboard? I didn't have any problems finding that setting in the stock ROM, but can't seem to find the setting here.

Thanks for the hard work and for what seems to be a great ROM so far! I wish that the 1.3 was already out because I probably won't have this box when it does come out because it will be back to my customer. I do sort of wish that the ROM was all on one partition, but shouldn't be a big issue because my client is planning to connect a 1TB USB drive.

Just being curious, but what sort of bitrate/resolutions are other people getting in the 10minute test video on Netflix with this ROM? I seem to only be maxing out at 1750 kb/s and 720x480 and it looks pretty pixely. I'm not sure if my customer will be too thrilled with that.

Will using the hide HDMI option make a difference here, or is that par for the course with android netflix? I'm having the same issue on my Galaxy s4 whether connected to HDMI or not. Maybe it's because I'm using an old 15" 4:3 monitor that probably isn't HDCP compiant right now? I will test it on my 46" 1080p TV tomorrow. Gotta get some sleep now.

                              Cheers, and thanks!

You're talking about Tronsmart stock rom, right?
As far as I'm aware, mo's rom is based on HPH rom.
I'm still using latest HPH stock rom where you don't have that option.
Anyway, one solution is searching for Null Keyboard on Google Play store.
It's free and "fire & forget"
