VPN on UBOX R89 with firmware 2.05
Hi,
I have a UBOX R89 with wasser 2.0.5.1 with kernel patch for the wifi
Everything work fine apart from the VPN
i try to connect with different VPN by software o by parameters (VPN) but it's don't work
The VPN work fine on 2.0.4, may be some library are missing ?
Do you know whats happen ? and there is a patch for working VPN ?
Regard Marc

Soutce of stuttering
Well I found something that I reproduced more than 4 times since now.
I use Kodi 14.1 version with advanced settings enabled about full buffering .
When i use kodi to watch a film or a series episode and watching while buffering there is stuttering every 5 minutes or so but this is variable.
When i leave the film to full buffer there is no stuttering at all.
I have a Beelink and i use wasser's 2.0.5 latest firmware.
Can anybody confirm this or i am the only one that noticed that?
And if that is happening what is the fault ? Slow nand speed ? Slow hard drive ? Or what the box is using at last?
For sure it is not a Kodi problem as i see.
Any ideas maybe?

it looks like a regression in 2.0.5. Could someone please provide me the VPN account for testing, so i can test and fix this issue ?
Thanks

Also, I found a method for reproduce the cut off problems in sound. With the last Wasser ROM version, if any sound is playing and you aren't doing anything in android and then move cursor or play a sound, after 3 seconds the sound cut off and alive again. I've tried different Wasser version and always is the same. However, in HPH mo123 ROM this problem doesn't exist, the audio device is alive forever (maybe some cut off, but i cannot reproduce the prior method). In mo123 changelog he wrote "Audio: fix bitstream pause/seek maybe noisy or nosound." in git rockchip repository also there are some reference to this bug "http://git.nl.linux-rockchip.org/?p=rk3288_r-box_android4.4.2_sdk.git;a=search;s=Rockchip;st=au thor"
i've tried to flash Wasser Rom with HPH kernel and resources but doesn't work.
Wasser do you know how resolve this issue?
Thanks
I will build new kernel and upload it at the weekend. I need users who have this problem to test the kernel.

If you think that the issue i wrote before is a kernel issue I will be more than happy to test it.
No that i remember with the imo123 firmware the stuttering was less, but had other compatibility problems.

You know better !!!
Just to help i would say that the stutterings also appear when something else is working in the background.
In fact i am reproduting the stuttering now.
I am watching a film, i have it in foul buffer and when the notification mail arrives there is a 0,5 second stutter - freeze.
I hope the new kernel solves it !
Do you have stutters in your box also?
Can you reproduce it ?

You are talking i that you use the SPMC like a player.
I am talking for using Kodi for watching move from add-on like Genesis.
I have not used Kodi or SPMC as a player .
My use of the box is only Kodi by addons .
So i can say only about that.

I read earlier in the thread that if you lower the volume in android with one level it would fix the problem, however this just reduce how often I get the drop outs to what I described above. If I have to volume set to max I get dropouts every few minutes with YouTube, Kodi etc.
I will just mention that I use HDMI passthrough. I don't think this problem is present if you don't use passthrough
Hope you will be able to reproduce the problem and fix it wasser. Thanks for all your work!
