Here is the link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/95...pa44/HPH1.5.7z

You must unzip with 7-zip, otherwise it doesn't works.

No idea what it could be. I have the R28 meta and It's running smooth on mo's rom. How are you flashing the roms? Do you backup and restore apps? A little more info on how you're going about it. The only stutters I would get are through spmc when choosing a bad link on genesis.

How bad are the stutters? How often? Which version of SPMC?

Iflashed the rom with androidtools coming with mo's ROM and certainly i erase the nand before flashing as i use to do with any rom else.

I use the last version of SPMC, and the stutters comes sometimes but it's not acceptable! because we and the latest android tv box ! I had minix x7 and it did always the good job (no stutters at all)!

I'm sure that there is some issue with theses boxes and I'm not the only one that said this!

You can flash it with the androidTools coming with the rom. Click LowerFormat and then click Run.

Have you tried flashing with RKBatchtools? I find androidTools not that great, it doesn't format right. I have no issues with stutter whatsoever

Have you tried MX player? Your best bet is either get a raspberry PI for video playback or wait for Razer's ForgeTV.

Not all chinese boxes are built the same even if it's the same box, for example the R28meta might be different than another R28.

Razer won't cheapen out on hardware and it will cost as much as the Meta did...I'm getting that once that comes out in a month.

There isn't a product that does everything that the marketing promises.

Sometimes it's hardware limitations although mostly it's the software, right from the SDK to the end apps.

MX Player is still the best option for consistent media playback.

Kodi has much greater flexibility and available options but at this time has to be considered as a continual work in progress.

Whether the razer takes things further, we will just have to see when it actually launches.

Until then, all speculation is just hope.

They blame the rock chip sdk.
                    Don't hold your breath.

Rockchip don't put enough effort or real interest in their product and Tronsmart have shown that they have little interest too.

Once the next new thing comes along, the last will be dropped like a stone, with only the good devs on sites such as this that keep things rolling along.

external ethernet adapter as eth0 ?

                      Hi,

this rom works very well and fast. But I can't use it because of the "green-screen-bug" - or named hdmi handshake problem when using philips tv sets. this isn't solved yet.

But i hope you can help me. I want to use my external usb-ethernet-adapter as eth0. i have read a lot, but don't kno what to do. Some told me to delete a file in /system/lib/modules/ for the internal ethernet module so that it isn't found by the operating system. I don't know what file.

It would be great, if someone can help me.

I agree. This year models are step back comparing to the last year ones (my example K-R42/Beelink R89) K-R42 was significantly better device for everything. RK3288 has still too many bugs. Beelink stopped updating firmware before they have sorted problems out. It is shame that Beelink-Tronsmart software development is now up to one single person (Wasser - BIG thanks for him, without his firmware my R89 would have allready been in trash can ). He is trying hard, but a lot of things are not yet ok. I think this is my last Rockchip android box. Next year probably i will go for Windows/Intel combination. But i will wait some time and read opinions about Windows devices, because i do not want to make same mistake again, like i did with Beelink.

My K-R42 was older rk3188 box, i think newer ones are called K-R42-t? It was perfect, and now i regret selling it. One thing i do not understand. How it is possible that i had better video playback with mx player on my rk3066 (MK808) than on this Beelink? With Beelink on panning scenes i allways notice micro stutters. I have never seen before stutters with rk3066 or rk3188. Regarding video playback quality for me even rk3066 is better than rk3288, so in 3 years RockChip and manfacturers did not do anything to improve theese boxes, they have only managed to make things worse Congratulations!

Yes, I had a first gen K-R42 and after Wassers last image for that, it was about as good as it was likely to get and was quite happy with it, within any limitations that it did have.

My much lower spec Raspberry Pi does some things better than the R28.

Rockchip must make many millions from the sale of it's hardware and yet they can't put resource into helping to make the software side of things better for all, which is ironic because if they did, then they would sell even more boxes.

RK3288 is the last thing I will buy with a Rockchip device as they have consistently demonstrated that they are not a company to trust.

The same goes with Tronsmart to some extent, where initially they seemed keen to fully support the Orion and quickly showed that they could not be bothered that much, especially as soon as the Draco came along.

It's Windows boxes all the way for me as soon as Cherry trail comes along and I think that we will see more made outside of China, where the hardware quality may also be a little better (in reference to the heating issues) and not that much more expensive.

Without all the work of the good devs outside of the vendors, most boxes would go into the bin.

Vendors should consider employing/contracting some of them in the first place.

I totally agree with above post. Been an android buyer for last 6 years, now i get a new hp stream mini after buying 3 ugoos rk3288 boxes and they all had one problem or another, like a cat chasing his own tail, I get online every day to look for new firmware, spend a half hour a day trying to find answers that I will never get. Anyway the hp stream mini does everything I ask of it perfectly with no issues whatsoever, everything on default settings, and suddenly I have 3.5 extra hours a week to do as I wish. Very bored because I havent had to chase around the net for fixes and answers.

Cant say enough about windows with bing, its the best thing since sliced bread.

I am DONE with android, selling all 8 of them I have sitting in closet. Good riddance.
As I said on another thread where the guy was struggling to make his connection stick, I wonder if they do this to us on purpose?
